My husband and I stayed for 2 nights at the Artistic B & B while visiting Madrid. Our hosts Paolo, Rudolph and Tommy were absolutely wonderful. One could not ask for more. They were so helpful with recommending sites, shops, restaurants and even an acupuncturist- yes my husband had hurt his back only a few days into our trip and the car ride up to Madrid really did him in. Paolo recommended an acupuncturist and set up an appointment for that evening and he felt so much better. Thank you again Paolo. We enjoyed meeting and talking to the other guests as well as talking to Paolo & Rudolph very much. I think my husband enjoyed talking to Tommy their son the best. He was teaching my husband Spanish and my husband was teaching him English. I would highly recommend staying at Artistic B & B. Just an FYI there are quite a few steps to walk up, however Rudolph & Paolo are very very helpful helping carry up the luggage.

It was the first stop of our month long Euro Honeymoon and what a great start it was. The location was central and close to numerous metro stops and the train station (which was useful as we traveled by rain down to Barcelona for our next stop). My wife and I spent every day of our 4 day stay walking to all the major sites and museums which were all very close by. The rooms are quite cozy and have a lot of natural light and good airflow with Air con if needed and a good clean bathroom. There was no noise from outside and we had a great sleep everynight we were there. Poala and Rudolph made us feel like V.I.P's, all our questions and queries were answered and overall we thouroughly enjoyed our stay not just in Madrid but here especially. Will definately be back next time we are in Madrid..... oh almost forgot the breakfasts are to die for with fresh fruits and breads (homemade by Rudolph with a different type each day!).

Room Tip: There are no lifts so be prepared to carry your bags although its only up two flights of stairs and...

Stayed five days at Artistic B&B, and enjoyed every hour of it. After just half an hour you feel like you have got two new friends in Rodolfo and Paola, the owners. Nice proposals for what to see anf what to do, and they are not in a hurry, you get all the help and feedback you can ever need.

The breakfast was a real treat, not only because of the food (which was very ok for a continental-style breakfast), but because of the nice discussions we had with both the owners and the other guests. All eat at the same small table, and it feels very natural to share your thoughts and experiences with the other guests.

Maybe it is the B&B style that makes it, you don't see any fancy stiff-upper-lip type of guests, they probably go to boring business hotels instead. All guests we met during our stay were charming, carismatic and had interesting stories to tell. Actually the nice breakfast meetings spolied our ambitions to be out early in the morning, since it was hard to stop the talking!

The rooms are a bit small (at least the Mosaic room which we had), and the toilet and the shower cabin is really narrow. But don't let this scare you, they are nice, spotlessly clean, and why should you need a lot of room space anyway? You are there to see Madrid, right?

The location cannot be better. You can walk to everything in 20 minutes, and to most parts even faster. Still on a very silent side street (except for the garbage truck which passes about 1:30 every night). We had originally planned to use the metro for moving around, but it is actually often faster to walk, unless you need to travel furter than most tourists (there is a lot of tunnel-walking needed inside the metro stations, so not as fast as you would expect).

We are already planning to go back, maybe bring some friends as well, and we will for sure try to book the same place!

Room Tip: We had the Mosaic room, and it is very nice with the window and small balcony towards the street. Yo...

We loved this place. First, Rodolfo was an extraordinary host. His English is perfect, he sent me links to answer a few of my questions about things to do, and made sure my coffee was perfect. I just got the feeling that I was actually a guest in his house. Second, the location was great. Not only was it centrally-located, but there are a lot of restaurants, bars, and shops within just a few blocks of the address. It was also the only place we stayed in an urban area that felt like there were more local residents than visitors. Third, the beds were insanely comfortable. Finally, we had an unexpected personal emergency in the middle of the night and they bent over backwards to help us. The only thing that would have made it better is if we'd gotten to meet their son!

We spent on June 4 nights at Artistic B&B. It is a charming place, very comfortable, and in a super location. We stayed in a balcony room on the street side. Our room has lots of light, a comfortable bed with nice linen, and a wonderful bathroom with fluffy towels. Rodolfo and Paola are very hospitable hosts and really know how to welcome their guests. We felt like we were part of one big happy family. Breakfast is a time to chat with others and get tips on places to visit in Madrid. We would love to stay again and thank Rodolfo and Paola for this enjoyable stay.

Room Tip: The rooms with the balcony are preferred

This is a clean and comfortable B&B. It is centrally located, within walking distance to Atocha train station and major sites. Our friendly and gracious hosts, Paola and Rodolfo, were eager to please and to offer advice on nearby restaurants and attractions..We highly recommend the Aritistic as an excellent value B&B.

We spent 3 nights at Artistic B&B for the second time. It is a charming place, very comfortable, and in a super location. We stayed in a balcony room on the street side this time and our son stayed in an inside room. Our room has lots of light, a comfortable bed with nice linen, and a wonderful bathroom with fluffy towels. Towels are changed daily if you wish. Rodolfo and Paola are very hospitable hosts and really know how to welcome their guests. We felt like we were part of one big happy family. Breakfast is a time to chat with others and get tips on places to visit in Madrid. This is a wonderful place - shhh, I'd like to keep it a secret!

Room Tip: All rooms are great. You can't go wrong!
