This hotel is a bit old. From the hotel room there is a spice scent that I do not like. However, it is very clean. The bath room is very classic. The bed is very comfortable. I would recommend this hotel if you could book it with three star hotel price.

There is Eros supermarket that 3 minutes walking from this hotel.

Bus line 27 stop near hotel also stop at the Prado Museum and Reina Sofia Museum. It is only 15 minutes ride. You can avoid the hassle of changing subway. The Prado Museum bus stop is right in front of museum. You could hop on the bus and ride to the hotel after a long day. The last two hours of these two museums are free. Therefore, you could plan to your hotel stay and visit each museum from two separate nights.

We stayed in madrid for 2 nights. The room were definitely not good, very small, old and no air conditioning in winters apparently. The reception told us to open the windows so as not to feel suffocated. The room was on the street side so slightly noisy. For 100 euros , and no breakfast it was not a good deal. I m sure in madrid on e can find better options. The hotel has a metro station right infront of it and when you walk towards the puerta de sol, you come across good shopping areas.

Just came back from Madrid, we had 2 room at the hotel, small room but very clean.
Shower was remodeled and great water pressure.

Location was AMAZING, close to the center but still quite and safe in my opinion.

There are some pickpockets in the area (as in most madrid) so make sure you don't leave anything on the table even if you are there.

I would recommend and go back!

Room Tip: Ask for a room to the front of the street, still quit and you will some view.

This hotel is perfect for a city break in Madrid. The rooms where comfortable, clean and had everything you could need. A ten minute walk to the main shopping street and a two minute walk to the nearest metro. This station (ALLONZO MARTINEZ) connects to three lines. A short metro ride takes you to opera for the palace or la Latina for the Sunday market or for quirky bars for that late night drink.
Breakfast was available for a supplement. There are plenty of cafes and restaurants near by.

I can't recommend this hotel enough

Beware,I was robbed a few years ago,had stollen passport,2 laptops, money, keys, leather briefcase,Mont Blanc pen etc, it was an inside job without doubt,Police came and issues crime number.
Guess what I was not paid by the Zurich insurance company because they had so many robber claims over a period of 3 months the cover had expired !
Once you sign for your key and room allocation you loose any rights to a claim against the hotel regardless no laptops fits their tiny safes etc.
The owner was extremely rude and agressive and claimed many travellers invented robberies ! he refused access to close circuit cameras, a disgraseful establishment, I was one of many

I did not use any of the hotel's services other than my room, but it was very spacious and immaculately clean - just what I needed. The bathroom looked like it had been renovated recently and although the water in the shower wasn't that hot, it felt luxurious and also spotlessly clean. I had an 'interior' room which was away from any traffic noise (although my neighbours were a little noisy early in the morning) but still got plenty of light.

The hotel is really close to Alonso Martinez metro station which is very handy for getting to and from the airport (much cheaper than a cab and just as quick). It's not right in the centre but Madrid is so compact that it doesn't take long to walk anywhere, and the metro is close if you don't want to walk. I had a simple but tasty breakfast at a bar across the road - Cafe Santander - and found good places to eat along Calle Hortaleza and beyond.

The front of house staff were unfailingly friendly and helpful. My only slight criticism is that I put the 'do not disturb' sign on my door when I went out one day, but came back to find the chamber maid had been in. She did a lovely job but I did not want fresh towels nor sheets and was frustrated to find things I'd barely used had been changed - it's such a waste!
