Very happy, helpful and attentive staff, a few small problems that were fixed quckly. Japanese restaurant booked out (reputation brilliant and hard to get in) so we had sushi by the pool. An oasis.

The room we stayed in was large, clean and comfortable. The bathroom was spacious with two sinks and had a separate area for the WC/bidet.

The feel of the hotel was luxurious. It had an elegantly decorated seating area, including a private function room hidden behind a panel of books.

Our room was on the second floor and on the side of the night club so unfortunately it was quite noisy. Others in our group did not seem to have this problem, so the noise level depends on the location of the room.

The food at the restaurant was of a very high quality.

Next to the business centre, there is a room with internet terminals and a printer free for hotel guests to use.

Elegant hotel decorated with the style of the 50s. Not the first time in this hotel, I’ve stayed one week last Easter. Bilingual, courteous, and highly professional staff makes the client’s stay enjoyable. Excellent location in Madrid (Salamanca), though in an upscale neighborhood a relatively quiet one, 200 m to the Retiro Park and close to other interesting parts of the city. Walking distance to many elegant restaurants, bars and shops (i.e. the Corte Inglés located in Goya Street opens on Sundays also). Suites are very spacious, very well maintained, mattress, sheets, pillows, towels, curtains and carpets are very clean, fresh flowers, complimentary water and fruits are placed in the room almost on a daily basis. All in all one of my favorite hotels in Madrid.

I had to stay in this hotel due to the proximity of it's location to my business meetings, orient want to stay there as the reviews were not encouraging, but then it ended up to stay there in a suite, in summary, run down furniture, non working AC, staff who barely speak English, noisy hotel, old bathroom, bad reception area, not even a ramp for your luggage, if you are going for madridmto enjoy, this is not the hotelnyounwant to stay at, if you had to, it's not gonna kill ya.

Although the Wellington is historic and beautiful, and the staff friendly, it was a bit of a disappointment for a five star hotel. Our room was located next to the elevator- noisy. Linen sheets may sound luxurious, but 300+ count Egyptian cotton are much softer. The shower head leaked onto the floor. Maybe we were expecting too much after reading all the positive reviews, but the four star hotel we stayed at near the train station was actually more comfortable. Oh, well...
