Stayed here for three nights with no complaints! The rooms are big (especially by European standards) and clean. The breakfast buffet is wonderful with a variety of meats, cheeses and pasties. Fresh fruit is also available.

There are also several restaurants around if you're looking to grab lunch or dinner out of the hotel.

The hotel is situated right by the metro. It takes about 20 minutes to get into the heart of the city. However, you can also take the train from the same station in which case it only takes about 10 minutes to get to the city center. It's also just 2 stops on the train from the Airport. That costs about 2.50 euros for a one way ticket which is great if you don't want to shell out money for a cab.

The train station also has a mall with lots of cafes and shops for when you need to grab a bottle of water or something else you may have forgotten.

We stayed here for 10 night in mid August 2013. We were moving to Madrid and used this hotel until we got settled in.
The hotel is ideally placed, being a 2 minute walk to the Chamartin train station and the Chamartin Metro system, the station is just down the street and either up or down the escalator.
We stayed room only as we just ate in Madrid the whole time, the main train station has some cafes if you want a quick breakfast/lunch before exploring. The restaurant in the hotel looked nice and clean, but rather expensive.
The rooms are very tidy, clean and modern. we had a nice view of the pool and were on level 4. You got a mini fridge, tv (no english channels), hairdryer, bath and shower and the whole hotel has free Wifi even in the rooms, which was a life saver for us! The maid cleaned everyday to an excellent standard.
The pool area is ok. Not great by any means, but its good enough for the price you pay. there are horrible plastic sun loungers, which cripple your back. The pool is very clean but is freezing cold. (please keep in mind that the pool is shared between the Hotel and the neighboring block of apartments and doesn't open until 11.30am.
Overall for the price we paid, its a great hotel in a great location and it has free wifi and a pool.
Cant complain really.

- Location: A little outside of town, but very convenient location, close to the stations (metro and train).
- Atmosphere: Boring.
- Decoration: The furniture and decoration were dated.
- Room: It was of a good size, clean with comfortable beds. The bathroom was spacious and clean.
- Service: The most staff did not speak much English.
- Breakfast: Good, but nothing special.
- Metro station: A minute walk. It takes 10 minutes ride metro to downtown.

- Recommendation 1: The taxi drivers know it as the former Centro Norte Hotel
- Recommendation 2: If you only need a room and do not want to pay a lot then this is a good place to stay.

- Would I stay there again? : Yes for 1-2 nights.

We had booked this hotel because on the map it LOOKED to be right across the street from the Charmartin train station, and we had a morning train reservation. Although it is close to the station, getting from the train terminal to the hotel on foot is not as straight forward as it might seem. Street level is below the level of the station itself, and to get to the hotel you can either go down several flights of grimy stairs with no handrail, or take some escalators that lead you a bit away from the hotel. Then you cross parking lot driveways without crosswalks. The main entrance is up a fairly significant stair, so if you need a ramp for your baggage, you go to a lower level and ring a bell to be buzzed inside a small lobby, to catch an elevator.
The reception staff was stony-faced, and totally overwhelmed with our prepaid internet reservation. Eventually they worked that out and handed us an electronic card-key, managing the whole process with never a hint of a smile or welcoming gesture.
To me the worst aspect of this hotel is a questionable security practice. Thefts do occur in hotels. Sometimes by people who have wandered into the hotel, sometimes by other lodgers, sometimes by less reputable staff without management knowledge.
I will stress that nothing was stolen from us at the hotel, but please take note of this:
Upon entering your hotel room your card key must be placed in a slot for any of the lights etc to function. Fair enough, many hotels do this. The bad part is that this also illuminates a small red bulb in the hallway outside your room. The net result? any room with the light "on" is currently occupied, those with the light off are unattended. Do you really want to signal to anyone who cares to know that you have left your room empty? You decide. I would not stay at the hotel again if only because of this.
The bathroom was spacious and clean. Although the beds were uncomfortable, they were about average for hotel comfort.

Across the street from the Chamartin railroad station in Madrid . A short subway ride from the airport and from downtown. Friendly staff, quiet room with spotless bathroom. Pepe's bar downstairs has a great people watching terrace and cold beer served with a complimentary tapas of calamari. Would definitely stay here again if overnighting in Madrid .unfortunately too late in the season for pool to be open.

Upon arrival, the hotel staff did seem quite uninterested and talked among themselves rather than answer any questions I had upon checking in, or provide me with necessary information.
There is a pool at the hotel, but I wasn't informed that you need a pool pass to enter the pool area - luckily the attendant let me in anyway rather having to walk all the way back to get one.

The lift situation is a nightmare! There are stairs leading up to the hotel reception, and I struggled with my suitcase. Once I got to the top the staff at the desk told me that I could've used the disabled access (better late than never) - so a word of warning if you visit this hotel, you don't need to use the steps. The lifts are small and slow, but found this common across Europe in hotels.

Apart from the slight negatives, the rooms were spacious and the beds very comfortable. Had a really good night's sleep. There is free wi-fi in the bedrooms too.

There was a good choice for breakfast but the toaster and hot water machine didn't work :(

It's a bit far out from the city centre but there is a good Metro link between the location.

I stayed here with a friend. We found a deal for this hotel on one of the affiliated websites. The hotel, is easily accessible when arriving from the airport by taking line 8 (dir: Nuevos Ministros) and 10 (dir: Hospital Infanta Sofia), get out at station Chamartin. And then it is just a five minute walk to the hotel. You will see it immediately on your right hand when you get out of the metros, above a small restaurant. Be aware that the hotel has steep stairs!

The hotel has a big pool (bigger than I am used too). The rooms were clean and quiet big. The staff was ok, but their English (as anywhere else) was not good (only a few (key)words) so talking with them was a bit hard and because of that they seemed not that friendly, even though I am sure they are. There is a 24/7 reception and luggage store room which can be used. The hotel provides you with a big map of the city, which is very handy. Unfortunately we found it the last day, but that was our bad. We did not have breakfast or dinner at the hotel.
During summer you might want to take a break during the day and rest at the hotel, like we did. In that case it might be handy to buy a tourist ticket for the metro, which you can use unlimited for metro and bus. If you want to get any groceries and water (you can drink water from the tap in Madrid but most people drink from the bottle) a groceries store is near. And there is a big one at station quatro caminos which open until 11pm.

We had a great stay at the hotel. It was not very exciting but good and clean as we expected it.
