We were able to check in early since our flight arrived to Madrid at 9am. The room was readywhen we got to the hotel I had reserved two twin bed bc it was the cheapest option but they gave us a queen bed. The room was clean and very comfy. Overall the hotel was neat and every day they housekeeping will leave two pieces of chocolate which was a nice touch. The Breakfast was very affordable and they had great option, I had mimosas every morning. The hotel architecture is fabulous, its in a great location. close to a HoHo bus stop. walking distance to the metro and La puerta del Sol. Madrid sanitation was on an strike, thereforu all Madrid streets were dirty and full of garbage. The hotel had a sign apologizing for all the garbage in the city. This made me realized how important their guests mean to them. The rooftop has amazing views great for pictures. Wi-Fi is excellent I was able to Skype w my family back home. The staff was very helpful, Javier was very patient since we had a Credit Card problem when we checked out, he allowed us to call our Credit Card company I thought that was very nice. Carmen the bartender was amazing she has such great personality that we were at the hotel bar every night. She is very good to the guest and made us feel like home. I will definitely recommend this hotel and next time I'm in Madrid I will stay here.

This was our first time in Spain and I could not have picked a better place. We visited Madrid for our 25th anniversary. The staff is very helpful and the rooms are very clean and in our case, very large. We had a small balcony overlooking the "Gran Via". The Street can be very loud, but the doors to our balcony does a very good job of almost eliminating the noise. However, they also have rooms that are away from the street. We loved our room, as the view of the street is beautiful.

The bathrooms are large for European standards and all marble. They do not have a restaurant. However, it is not needed as you are surrounded by all kinds of eateries and restaurants. They do serve Breakfast and its not too expensive. All you can eat for 10 Euros. But If you want to save some money, or you feel like eating more a la carte, we recommend a restaurant that is a 5 min walk from the hotel. Cafe Nebraska is a very nice place to eat, and it was recommended by the hotel staff to us.

The hotel is right in the middle of everything. Shopping, The metro, and the The Bus station that have buses that take you to other cities like Segovia or Toledo. You can also walk to Parque del Retiro, The Prado Museum and the Reina Sofia Museum, which is about 20 min walk. We will definitely return to Madrid and stay at this hotel. We were so happy, I gave the staff a box of Cigars for the them to share as a token of our appreciation. You will not go wrong staying here.

I spent two nights at this hotel with my wife in October. The Hotel's location was great, with lots to do and see. However, we found the room overpriced and disappointing - although the room was clean, the bed' s headboard was discolored and stained - we hung the comforter over it because it was that nasty. We could hear everything going on in our neighbor's rooms as well as in the hallway. The dining area has a great view of the street below, but the fare could improve, especially with the prices charged.
On a positive note, we found the staff was polite and courteous, and as stated before, the location is great - close to everything in the area (Puerta del Sol, Puerta de Alcala, Plaza Mayor, Mercado de San Miguel, etc.).

Room Tip: Make sure you call and ask what size rooms are available - they are much smaller than one realizes.

Dear chanok2013.

Thank you for your review. We regret that you and your wife did not enjoy your stay with us and we especially regret that Hotel Atlantico did not correspond to your expectations.

Whilst I'm pleased to note that we fully met your expectations with reference to our location and staff service, I am very surprised to hear that you found the bed's headboard discolored and stained, because we take special care and attention at these points and we really have positive comments about our cleaning. I am very sorry regarding the inconveniences you experienced because the noise between rooms. Finally, I appreciate your suggestions about the quality of our breakfast.

Your satisfaction is important to us and we will be using the feedback you gave us to implement improvements to ensure we offer a better experience for guests in the future.

I hope that you will consider staying with us again so that we can have another chance to provide you with a superior experience.

A wonderful hotel located half way between the Callao and Gran Via metro stops, which puts the entire Gran Via at your doorstep. Though I had an inside room, which means the windows (which open) face the very tiny courtyard, I still had plenty of fresh air and a king size bed, which is very rare for a European hotel. The shower is the best ever (5 heads and big enough for 2), a bathtub and double sinks mean that the ensuite bathroom is as large as some hotel rooms! By far one of the best showers ever. The housekeeping is excellent and the staff delightful and helpful. The breakfasts (10 euros unless included) are filled with fruit, yoghurt, meats, cheeses, eggs and bread so you can fill up for the day and then have lunch at 3, which is normal for Spain. I will be back.

Room Tip: I have read that the rooms facing the Gran Via are loud, but it's Madrid and a large city, so wh...

We would like to thank this excellent Hotel for making our recent stay so enjoyable, comfortable and problem-free. We had a wonderful time in Madrid, mainly strolling around and seeing the sights: Palace, Cathedral, Gardens, Museums and principal shopping streets. With the “home-base” provided, we were confident at the end of each day to find helpful and friendly staff in Reception and on the 9th floor (where refreshments are available) and to appreciate the care taken by the team of chambermaids in guaranteeing a clean and warm bedroom.

We have the greatest pleasure in recommending this Hotel to friends and family and all who have a yen to spend time in Madrid.

Hotel Atlantico did everything right. The room was quiet, pristine and well equipped. Why don't all hotels supply two luggage racks for couples, as this hotel does? The location was convenient to major parts of the city, and walking distance to the old town. The staff was welcoming and helpful, even standing out in the rain to hail us a cab.

Very skeptical as always when booking a hotel and waiting to see it in person. From the time we drove up to the front entrance, it looked so great. The staff was exceptional. Very friendly and wonderful at giving us information about places to eat and everything. I think the name of one of the two gentleman, that seem to be there when we needed questions answered, was Armando and the other gentleman that always worked with him, were so wonderful. Our rooms were so amazing and so clean and so high end. We really got a good deal because this is an exceptional hotel. I didn't even want to leave to start our Portugal and Spain tour. We spent 4 days in Madrid on our own and booked Hotel Atlantico before our tour started. If I am lucky enough to return to Madrid, will never stay at a different hotel. Was just AMAZING!!!!!
