We stayed in Atlantico hotel for 6 nights in February based on TripAdvisor reviews and guess what? It was a great hotel in a central of all. The room was clean and good size and was serviced daily with a good selection of toiletries. Our room was facing Gran via with a small balcony and good view of Gran Via but it was noisy couple of mornings otherwise quite.I think they were doing some repair/renovation as there was loud banging noise few evenings which was disturbing however we were out most the time so didn't bother us as much.
Excellent, helpful and friendly staff at front desk that made our stay very pleasant.

Room Tip: We had two rooms on fifth floor, our corner room facing Gran Via was bigger with good size bathroom...

This hotel was centrally located. It was right in the middle of town. A great place to walk to El Corte Ingles, as well as all the shops, restaurants and gelato places! The front desk staff were extremely polite, helpful and very well versed in English. The room was spacious and had lots of amenities There were bathrobes and slippers in the closet along with extra bedding. Plenty of amenities in the bathroom. The shower was always hot and great water pressure. There was a door to open to a small balcony but was nice to look out and see the many shoppers on the gran via. The only mishap was some late night traffic,so if you are a light sleeper it might keep you up. The breakfast buffet had ample choices and the orange juice was fresh and sweet. So were the muffins filled with raspberry. All and all a very good choice and I would recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: The higher the floor the quieter it is.

Dear tracey m.

Thank You for taking the time to write a review about your stay at Hotel Atlántico and for your recommendation.

We are very glad to hear such a nice words mainly about the breakfast and the orange juice. Regarding the noise, sometimes is very difficult do not have any exterior noise since the hotel is located in one a busy main road of Madrid. Next time I suggest ask for an interior room, less noisy but, of course, not with the same view.

It will be a real pleasure for us to host you in our hotel again.

With kind regards

Although the lobby area is small do not be fooled - this hotel has great rooms and a fantastic roof- top bar with plush sitting rooms and views over the busy city. There are two metro stations within a few minutes walk but the main city highlights can be reached on foot from the hotel door. Breakfast is fine and the room overlooks Gran Via. Staff are fantastic. Altogether a great place to stay and visit this amazing city.

We stayed here for 7 nights in February and have nothing but good things to say about the hotel. The room (on the 6th floor, facing Gran Via) was spacious, clean and comfortable, with a very nice bathroom and features including blackout curtains, a laptop safe, a good selection of toiletries, and great shower water pressure. The prices for incidentals (minibar and laundry) were quite reasonable (by North American standards), and wireless internet was free. The front desk staff were polite, helpful and efficient, and all spoke English. The hotel location is wonderful, both for walking around the city and for taking the Metro (very convenient to both Callao and Gran Via stations). Two things to note: (1) as our room was at the front of the hotel, we did hear some street noise, which didn't bother us, but if you are a very light sleeper, you may want to request a room at the rear of the hotel; (2) if you plan to take the hotel shuttle to the airport, note that they do not add the charge to your bill but ask that you pay in euros.

Room Tip: Rooms at the front of the hotel face Gran Via, and thus give you the feel of being in the heart of t...

I stayed here with my sister for 3 nights and must everything was excellent. The hotel was beautiful, with efficient and friendly staff who were very helpful and informative. The only drawback was that the room was quite small. Having said that I would still stay there again. the location is perfect, within walking distance to everything. I would definitely recommend.

Room Tip: I would ask for the superior room to get more space.

Dear Dee D.

Thank you for your review. I am very happy you and your sister had a nice stay with us. It is glad to know you liked the hotel and the service provided by our staff. We however regret that you were not entirely satisfied with size of the room. We have many different types of rooms and the size depends of the room booked in your reservation. Our hotel also offers Deluxe rooms bigger than the Standard rooms.

A group of 4 of us recently spent 3 nights in this hotel. It ticked all the boxes!! Location, location , location!! Bang, smack in the centre of Madrid, with all the major sights within walking distance. The rooftop bar is fab and there was free coffee/tea available here at all times. We had a room only rate but did take breakfast each morning at a cost of 9 euro. We definitely felt that this was value for money and provided a great start to the day. The rooms were lovely and the service provided by all staff but particularly housekeeping was spectacular. We had 2 rooms on the 5th floor, one facing out onto the Grand via and one facing inwards. The one facing outwards towards was a little noisy despite electric shutters. The beds were really comfy! We had free access to wifi in the hotel which was great and were also able to print out our boarding passes in the office centre. We made use of the hotel shuttle to airport at a cost of 8e each.I would definitely recommend this hotel.

The location is fantastic. It is on the main road within walking distance of many of the sights that a tourist would want to see. It is also only a 2 minute walk from a bus stop where you can board the City Tour Bus.
As a single woman on my own, I felt very secure in this hotel. I would recommend it to anyone going to Madrid on a sightseeing visit. A very big thank you to all at the hotel for making my stay so pleasant.
