I knew we were in for a farce as soon as we had signed the agreements, yes it's great for the Sol, and when the guy we met said about how closing the windows would cut out the sound and demonstrated with the offices double glazed window it rang alarm bells. This does not work with a historic balcony doors which are single paned even when you lock the internal and external shutters and believe me between the drunks shouting and midnight and 4 in the morning trash lorries you are not going to get much sleep. Also much of the noise was from the Spanish neighbours in adjoining Apartments, the internal walls stop no sound at all even when people come back at 2 in the morning.
The 40EUR check in fee if you arrive out of their specified hours is a rip off and the rooms are still small for what the charge is.
Also you will be making sure things are clean before you leave or again you will be charged. Ultimately this is all the responsibilities of renting a flat with the only advantage of having a small kitchenette and not being annoyed by house keeping at the same cost as a hotel.More
