Our visit to Madrid was wonderful but after several days of Tapas and Spanish cuisine we were looking for something familiar. After a considerable amount of sifting through reviews we found a likely candidate. At first it seemed hard to locate but once we found it we realized that it is incredibly close to Plaza Mayor, Mercado de San Miguel and the Opera. The space is somewhat new feeling but charming and intimate. The proprietor/server equally so! The food was extraordinary, my wife had the Pistacio Paperdelle dish, I had the Deer Meat Paperdelle, our 10 year old the wood fired pizza and found them to be "perfecto"! This is one of the things I will miss most after I leave Madrid. Well worth the search!
