the hotel is peaceful and nice. staff is professional and well behaved. food available is quite good. decoration is quite different from today's usual. for one person or couple it is a good affordable place. breakfast is quite sumptuous with good variety. you can also choose to take breakfast outside and save the 15 euros. ordering food under room service though might prove to be tedious job for an English speaking traveler. there is a nice mall nearby where you can buy variety of food and drinks to save money.

Room Tip: ask for the room with window towards front side. there is a nice little park and the road being out...

As other reviewers have mentioned, this is a traditional and somewhat old-fashioned European hotel, but that is not a bad thing.

This very well maintained property is in a residential area just around the corner from the San Bernardo metro station.

I enjoyed leaving the hustle and bustle of the very center of Madrid after a day of sightseeing and arriving into the relatively quiet plaza in which this hotel is located.
The breakfast buffet was excellent and the dinner I ordered from room service one evening was very good, as well.

Although I don't necessarily agree with the four star rating, I definitely think this hotel is a good value and a good choice for a few nights in Madrid.

This is a fantastic hotel that I highly recommend. The rooms are big, mini bar if you want, bathroom with full massage shower. Really comfortable big beds, clean gorgeous rooms, plenty of plugs for your electronic devices and completely free wifi in your rooms and everywhere else in the hotel.

Excellent service, free fruit on arrival and for me best of all - an AMAZING BREAKFAST with anything you could imagine

The hotel is very close to metro stations and you can walk to the grand via - the "times square" of madrid

Room Tip: ask for a high floor with a balcony

This is such a nice hotel, and unbelievably good value too! I stayed in a very comfortable single room (which was larger than many doubles I have stayed in in the past) over Easter for just over €50 a night. Total bargain.

The hotel itself is lovely, and reception staff are very helpful. The location is one of the best things about it - I used the metro twice during my stay, to get from Atocha to the nearby San Bernardo metro station, and to travel back to Atocha. I walked everywhere else - to the museums, to Retiro, to Gran Via - and the nicest thing is, it's far enough away from the centre to feel that you're not surrounded by tourists all the time. Highly recommended.

Just arrived back today from a 4 night stay in this lovely hotel. We had a 3 bedded family room on the 2nd floor and there was so much room. Bathroom lovely and the best shower ever! Well stocked mini bar and TV in room but we were too busy out in the sunshine to watch it. There is a dog park outside the hotel and while I think some may not like this, we stood every night watching the dogs have a lovely time socialising. Madrid is a beautiful city and the weather was better than we could have hoped for. Hotel very traditional but we loved this. Makes a change from Travelodge type hotels which are all the same. Would stay here again.

Spent 3 nights here as part of a tour. Only good thing was they allowed us to check in early after a long flight. Otherwise: 1) Many gypsies in the park in front of the hotel 2) Tour director's purse was stolen out of the bus on the 1st day while she was doing a head count 3) The park includes a dog park, so in the evening you hear incessant barking 4) rooms are small 5) air conditioner in the room was worthless 6) signed a bar tab for 8 euro (verified by spouse). At check out the tab was 12 euro, with a bar stamp instead of my signature. The front desk did rebate the 4 euro, however.

If you have a choice, go somewhere else.

Dear Sirs,

We are sorry about your comments. We believe as a hotel we are a good option in the city. We are in a quiet location close to the city center with a park where the madrilenians spend their time with their children. It is true there is a park for animals but a lot of people love it as they love animalsand for us this is not an incovenience eventhough we allow animals in the hotel (small ones. max. 5 Kgr)

As per the money you say and after checking it, let me inform you there were two different tickets for the restaurant for a total amount of 12 euros.

Kind regards

This hotel provided great service and rooms had double closets with plenty of outlets. I stayed there for four nights and enjoyed the peaceful area. Many reviews already mentioned the park, markets close by and free fruit at reception. I would definitely stay there again.
