“Ideal for Business Trip (Madrid Fair)”
Reviewed March 14, 2013

This is a nice business Hotel only a few steps away from Madir Fair Center. The hotel has nice spacious rooms and a good breakfast buffet to offer. Wireless internet is included in the room rate. It is very close to the airport and has a Metro station 300 m away to get to Madrid city center.
Another advantage is the free airport shuttle running every 30 min from 6:00 til 23:00.

I have stayed here a few times, visiting trade shows at the Campo de las Naciones which is 200m away. The Campo is also right on the underground line directly from the Airport and the hotel only 100m from the station, so it is all very convenient.
The rooms are large and well-equipped and have free wi-fi which is brilliant; most travelling businessmen will immediately feel positive about an hotel which offers free wi-fi when so many still rip off their guests by charging them for it.
The rooms have flat screen TVs, a tea and coffee station and good working facilities. There is a decent bar and a better-than-average restaurant with moderate prices.
The staff are helpful and pleasant.
In fact, I can't really find anything to complain about - so well done, Novotel Campo de las Naciones......

Room Tip: There are no real advantages or disadvantages to any of the rooms - they are all pretty much alike...

I cant say too much because I didn't end up spending the whole night,
I just had the room to get a few hours sleep after work, and before taking a flight at the airport nearby,

The bed was comfortable, bathroom was ok..
No complaints, everything was dealt with efficiently as you would expect..
You pretty much always know what your getting with the Accor group of hotels.. I've stayed in a lot of novotels, sofitels, pullmans, and mercures.. and you know what you're getting, but I don't remember an outstanding one.

Our family of 5 spent one night at Novotel Madrid Campo de las Naciones in Feb. 2013 as an airport layover (one leg of our trip put us in Madrid on a Saturday evening, with a connecting flight leaving the following day). With three children in tow (a 9-year old plus 2-year-old twins) we had very specific needs: someplace clean and close to the airport that could accommodate our family. It was surprisingly difficult to locate a hotel at or near the airport that could accommodate 5 people, either in a single suite or in connecting rooms. However, this Novotel advertised itself as family-friendly, and offered a family special with connecting rooms, so we went with it.

The hotel met all of our needs, and exceeded our expectations in many ways. It's quite convenient to the airport, with a free shuttle running every half hour. The rooms were spotless, pleasantly contemporary, and reasonably spacious by European standards (some might find them a little small by U.S. standards, but with two connecting rooms we had plenty of space). They even included a few bath amenities I wouldn't necessarily expect, like exfoliating scrub along with the bath gel/soap and individually wrapped nail files. We had requested two baby cots for our 2-year-old twins, and the hotel provided two clean, well-maintained "pack and play" style portable cribs, all set up and made up with bedding exactly as requested. (I've found that hotel cribs can be hit-and-miss, but these were in very good shape). Each room also included a small sofa that converted to a full-size bed, which was perfect for our older child.

In addition, the hotel offers a small childrens' play area in the lobby, with a free Xbox system for older children and boxes of Legos and other building toys for younger kids. This was an unexpected bonus and helped keep our kids occupied during check-in, waiting for the airport shuttle, etc. The in-house restaurant was also family-friendly, with several high chairs available, lots of decent menu choices for young kids (our toddlers loved the housemade croquettes and the fresh fruit plate), and no charge for kids under 16 for the extensive breakfast buffet. The bartender even gave us warm milk for the little ones at no charge.

The only thing that would have made our stay better from a family perspective would have been bathtubs in the rooms, rather than just shower stalls (our 2-year-olds love their baths, and still aren't very comfortable in showers). But that's a small issue. Overall, we were extremely pleased with the hotel's amenities and very accommodating staff, and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a family-friendly hotel near Barajas airport.

We spent the night here to be close to the "Feria" and airport, and indeed we were. It's less than a 5-minute walk.

Let's get the bad part out of the way: this is a business hotel away from the center. You'll need to take a cab or the metro to get anywhere interesting. There are no restaurants around to speak of.

But the hotel is modern, and there is a bar and restaurant that seemed to be well attended... if you're desperate. The rooms are big, clean and modern with nice picture windows... although there's not much to look at. There's a good and fast wi-fi connection throughout the building. The breakfast was lovely and I would have enjoyed the pool and grounds had the weather been warmer. A good choice if you want to be in this part of Madrid if you can get the (double) room for 150 Euros or less.

Breakfast Service was also fully ok, with good Choices of hot Beverages. Staff did give us also good Recommendation for some Restaurants nearby.

This was my second stay at this location for a long weekend in Madrid. I stayed there previously in July 2011.

It's just outside the Campo de las Naciones Metro Station (Linea 8), only one stop from Barajas Ternimals 1, 2, 3, and three from Barajas T4. About 10 minutes walk away is the Campo de las Naciones "Centro Commercial", which includes the Corte Ingles department store and Ipercoor supermarket, as well as restaurants. It's about 30 minutes from the Puerta del Sol in the city centre, and is located in fare Zone A, which includes the airport and centre.

The hotel itself is well maintained and clean, with exceptionally helpful and friendly staff. The hotel provides TV in different languages. There are two beautiful pools, although not in use in January! My room was clean and well decorated, with a mini bar and shower only. The bathroom was clean with minimal amenities, although toiletries were provided by the front desk if needed. There is also free Wi-Fi (hard to come by in Europe), and two passwords are provided, one for your computer, the other for another computer or your phone.

Overall a great place to stay if the price is right!

Room Tip: I stayed in room 323 on this occasion, which faces the pool side. No external noise, although it is...
