Excellent service and centrally located. The Ritz is an example of how to do Madrid in style. The staff are friendly and professional. This hotel has a classic and luxurious feel to it. Simply stunning.

We stayed there in March. It was one of the finest Hotels that we have ever stayed in. The service was impeccable and friendly beyond any other hotel. The food was great. They all spoke excellent English. The location is next to the Prado Museum within an easy walk to all the sites. It was off season so their price was no higher then most lower end hotels

This hotel for us is the meaning ot the expression: to dress fashionably and let others feel the good life.
It was superb for meeting with a company our firm may acquire. Just watching their reactions to the grandeur was worth the cost to us.
We also used our suite to interview a young woman about joining our agency.
Great staff, service, location, restaurants. Room had been renovated and is perfect.
For the right traveler "putting on the Ritz" is what they need

What can I say about the Ritz? Its like stepping back in time to a world that was glamorous and classy. There is something timeless about this hotel. Great location that allows you to walk just about anywhere, or go down a few blocks to the metro. The hotel management takes attention to detail to a whole new level. Everything about the hotel is geared towards giving the guest a feeling of luxury and class. The staff were phenomenal, and went out of their way to be helpful. I was traveling along, and the concierge made sure to provide excellent information on activities, restaurants, museums, and tours I could sign up for. And then he took care of all the arrangements for me. It was effortless! The rooms were elegant, comfortable, and reeking of luxury! Sure, the floors squeak and there aren't a plethora of over-the-top modern technology gadgets available in the rooms, but there was enough there: internet, TV, DVD player, and music radios. Not enough to detract from the old world feeling of the decor. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Room Tip: Get a room on the two highest floors that are facing the street... they have balconies that open out...

I thought the days of judging people by their appearance had long gone, but not at The Ritz Madrid it appears. Seems as because my husband didn't have full length trousers on, our clothing was deemed unacceptable to be let in the hotel. It was 30 degrees + and shamefully my husband had on 3/4 length trousers. We were quickly ushered away from the hotel entrance by an overbearing and officious doorman, and told we could come back at 1pm and sit in the garden. We chose not to! So glad we chose not to stay here and went to the Intercontinental, which experience indicates is so much more pleasant. The doorman here greets us happily each day, and is interested to hear what we've been up to. Shame on you at the Ritz!!

Rooms are outdated. This hotel is not worth the price. The staff and service are very good and the location is great but it feels like you've stepped back in time. Wireless access is clutch and not straight forward.
