Stayed 2 nights prior to join Ama waterways Douro river cruise .our stay at this hotel was fantastic,Situated in the city centre very close to Prado . Breakfast served under stained glass dome of La rotunda which made having breakfast a unique experience .This hotel is located in the heart of Madrid. The rooms are pretty decent in decor and size . One of the great joys in my life is when i spend some nights here at this great hotel each year.

Staff are so gracious and as a return Lifetime Platinum guest they always ensure your stay is memorable.

Where possible a delightful suite is given.

Housekeeping are discreet and quality linens are always provided.

The only issue i have always had here --sadly no EXECUTIVE LOUNGE--.

Martha at front desk always so helpful.

It will be a joy to return.

Room Tip: Inside courtroom rooms are available if you require a good sleep

We only stayed in Madrid to fly in and out for a trip to southern Spain. Staying at the Westin Palace Madrid was the perfect bookend for our trip. They eased all the stress and anxiety of travel with friendly and efficient service. We arrived at 9am and they had a room ready for us! Any request from the room arrived almost as soon as we put the phone down. The complimentary coffee was a life saver. This is the kind of hotel experience that creates Starwood loyalty. The central location made it easy to squeeze in museum visits and make the most of our short stay in Madrid. We were upgraded to a junior suite the night before we flew home which was completely unexpected.

A very well placed hotel, near the Puerta del Sol the Prado and other attractions. Have stayed here in 2006 and 2010, it seems the service and the quality of the rooms have improved.

An added bonus this time was having the Altletico fans celebrating winning 'La Liga' after passing Barcelona in the standings. Friendly celebration - with thousands thronging the streets. A great show to see !

Excellent service - I forgot my Mac charger in the room, and they sent it back with regular post - 3 days later, and I had it in my hands.

This hotel is quite impressive! It is an old building, huge beautiful rooms with renovated bathrooms.
The top lobby, with the restaurant and the bar, is a great place to unload and just sit and rest a bit.
It is a beautiful place, breakfast is great and brunch on Sunday has opera music!!
Would love to return!
The location is great, just across from the Prado Museum.

This hotel is an iconic hotel in Madrid. Very old school entrance and very grand. The rooms were average size but the floors and rooms definitely need an upgrade. The location of the hotel is excellent. Walking distance to many attractions and public transport. The lobby us beautiful and great for drinks. We had dinner one night at the Rotunda restaurant and liked it very much. The concierge team is very knowledgeable. It's a very elegant hotel and you will enjoy the big fountain when you exit the hotel. Especially at night. Also there is a big Starbucks close by if you have cravings. We preferred the Spanish caffe across the street from the hotel though for breakfast. Delicious croissants!
