Absolutely BEAUTIFUL Hotel! Great location to everything. We had 3 people in our room. The rooms were very nice size for a European hotel. The roll away bed was as soft and comfortable as the other 2 beds.

I stayed for one night in September 2013. The hotel is magnificent, and the staff very courteous and professional. I stayed in a junior suite on the top floor, which had a nice little balcony, a beautifully appointed sitting room, spacious bedroom and two bathrooms. It was a short business trip to Madrid therefore I highly appreciated the location and the comfort.
Please visit the bar under the rotunda, it’s magnificent! Both for breakfast or for an afternoon drink, it’s a monumental space. When I visited they had a special tapas tasting menu which was very interesting and fairly priced.
Also the smaller “English club bar” looked really nice and I’ll make sure to have a drink there next time I’m staying at the Palace. There are also many choices for drinks and meals in walking distance of the hotel.
One little “secret” of this hotel is the little rooftop garden next to the gym & sauna. It’s a quiet terrace, full of aromatic herbs and plants, all nicely labeled. You can relax there after the gym, and it was a pleasant discovery to smell all the different flavors of the plants.
The Westin Palace is definitely a place where I want to stay again, next time a bit longer than one night.

We loved this hotel - Perfect location. Nice area Prado and Congress are across the street. There is a Starbucks downstairs. Easy walk 5 min to the old city. Many places to eat and metro stops nearby. Easy to get to from Airport - Take metro to Banco de Espana walk a block and you are there - very safe and clean.

Room Tip: Choose and inside room for quiet or Park Facing for view

This is a five star hotel originally known as 'The Palace 1912'. Most Madrilenes (especially taxi drivers) know it only as 'The Palace'. Rooms are large, dated, clean and functional. Decor reflects historic grandeur and gives off a certain nice charm. The hotel Is shaped like an unequal sided quadrilateral and has six floors of accommodation. Four smallish elevators are located in one corner and some rooms are 150-200 paces from the lifts.
The Palace is well located adjacent to major museums and galleries (Prado, Von Thyssen etc.) and is within walking distance of major shopping areas and the historic centre of the city. Many bars, cafés and restaurants surround The Palace and it is easily accessible to all forms of transport.
The Palace is a busy hotel catering to large conferences and tour groups. Service is efficient and adequate. Eating, drinking and laundry are expensive.
The hotel comes as advertised.

Room Tip: Look for one close to the elevators.

My partner and I stayed at The Westin Palace for two nights to start our Madrid-Sevilla-Madrid trip. Our big mistake was that since this was our first stop- every other hotel paled in comparison...we should have put this at the end of our journey not at the beginning!

This property exceeded all our expectations. The rooms are incredibly clean and the service is extraordinary. The lobby is absolutely stunning! And the location is perfect- close to so many great attractions, including El Prado Museum.

The only slight negative I would say is that there is a moderately hefty charge for internet- it seems to be the case at many hotels, so I don't really fault them for this, but it would be a nice perk at a hotel that already charges so much. There is complimentary use of the internet at the business center on the main level.
