Just returned from a 3 night trip to Madrid. Used Tripadvisor to choose the Hotel Opera and we were not disappointed. The location is hard to beat, opposite the opera house and a couple of minutes walk to the palace and plaza de Oriente and plaza Isabel.
The staff were all friendly and helpful and we were given a free upgrade to a rooftop terrace room on arrival. The jacuzzi bath on the terrace, was a real novelty and very welcome after a day walking around the city.
The breakfast is mostly continental, with some hot options and lots of pastries, tea, coffee, juice etc and you can have as much or as little as you want.
We would definitely return.
We did not hear lots of noise late at night, but that may be because we were on a higher floor.More
