One of the best parks I have been in. Lots of shade if you want it together with cafes etc and even a boating lake. We also visited the botanic garden (for which there is a small fee unless you are 65) which was itself interesting if you are into that kind of thing.

Enjoyed most the works of Goya, Velazquez, Murillo, Tiziano and El Bosco. The explanations of the audioguide are useful to understand the historic contex. The cafeteria was excelent and in need after the hours stroling the musseum.

The Prado was spectacular: so many areas to view with amazing collections.
Be sure to allow plenty to time to explore the many great galleries here.

I'm not an expert on painting but i really liked the art pieces in Prada museum. Most of them about christianity and Jesus but the art was great. Seeing Jesus in cross with blood all over him isn't my favorite scene but the painters were real geniuses...They say cameras are not allowed at the entrance and some security lady told me to put my backback in a closet bu i saw many people walking around with backpacks and cameras. There's an inconsistency...Anyway the important thing is seeing Goya and Velazquez and other great artists work...Highly recommended...

On a par with the Lourve or the Met in New York. Smaller though, with an accent on the great Spanish artists of the 14th thru 19th centurues.
