We saw the food and walked into the main dining room during the height of dinner. I'm glad we got a table because the bar/tapas area was WAY packed by the time we left. The tables had fun buzzers so you could buzz your waiter and tell them what was needed. The food was great, the prices were fair, and the portions were large. We had great service and a wonderful meal. It's also on a street with a ton of bars and it makes for a fun "hopping" place.

My boyfriend and I have visited this restaurant on 15 August, 10:20 pm. No table was available in the main room, but they have offered us a table in the inside room. It is not super, but not noisy. We have taken a tapas menu (2 cold tapas, 2 warm tapas and 2 croquette + drink for 15 €) and Polpo a la galena. Plus, bread and one more cola. Total, 37.50 €. Honest price, I would say. Usually, there is not problem in understanding Spanish. However, the owner has offered us to speak in any language, so if you have any difficulties, this place could be good for you.

We found this place after being in Spain for about 2 weeks and at this point we were getting very tired of the typical tapas menu offered seemingly everywhere. But when we looked at this menu we were intrigued, so we decided to give it a shot. We sat in the dining room which is 1.90 euro per person to sit. We didn't know this at the time, but we would have sat down anyways because our legs were so tired. You get a piece of bread with some pretty good pate when you sit, so maybe you can count that as an expensive tapa. We did the tapas tasting menu and tried the following: samoreja, chicken curry salad crepe, sardines, stuffed pepper, mini hamburger, blood sausage, and the sabrosada. The tapas menu also comes with two different kinds of croquettes: a seafood and a ham (?). Everything was quite tasty, although my boyfriend didn't enjoy the blood sausage that much. The service was prompt and friendly, and overall the experience was quite enjoyable. Would definitely recommend to others.

The tapas is a bit pricy, but what it lacks in volume it makes up for in deliciousness. Definitely worth a tapas or four on your way exploring cava baja.

Based on our travel guide we decided to walk down Cava Baja street one evening which is known for its many tapas restaurants and bars. We happened to pass by Orixe Restaurante which is quite modern compared to the other establishments around it. We were very impressed with the tapas dishes that we had including patatas bravas, tortilla, razor clams, pulpo (octopus), and even callos - which is a traditional Madrid tripe dish. The owners were very hospitable, even taking our order and making recommendations for us. I'm surprised by some of the negative reviews of this place. We were fortunate that everything seemed to be on target the night we ate there.
