“Misadventure”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 10, 2013 via mobile

We were early for dinner and waited 10mins. There was a constant stream of customers from 8.30pm and was filled by 9pm on a Thursday night. We were glad to find this reasonable place for dinner. 3 course set menu starts from ?9.50, it was big for a person. The food was good but lacks presentation and service. Our bread was served without a plate and cutlery was not placed properly where it should.

A misadventure occurred while we were having dinner. My friend's mobile phone was stolen by a young girl who came in, placed a piece of graffiti paper over the phone on the table. Then she distracted us by picking into my dish to eat leaving us puzzled. She then walked away sweeping the mobile phone underneath the paper with her. My friend realised her mobile was gone after that.

Be on high alert in Madrid. My friend's bag was eyed on the previous day while we were having breakfast in a bar too.

“Nice place.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 21, 2013

That's place is really nice. It is opened short period of time, but dishes are extremely great and reasonably priced. Highly recommended. Opening hours from 8.30 pm till 23 or 23.30.

Good selection of wines. Grilled vegetables are really nice. Beef with pepper sauce is the thing to die for.

“Good local cuisine”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 13, 2013

Stop by, you wont be disappointed. I noticed a lot of locals in La Sanabresa. Hard to find a table when I went but there is a reason for this. Try the 3 or 4 course menu.

“went here twice”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 8, 2013

This little hole in the wall restaurant was great in selection and price. This restaurant was on a map given to us by the staff at the hotel we were at of close by locations and we went there twice.

The staff was quick to serve and quantity, quality, selection was great. Both times we selected items from the 3 item for the one price menu. The salads and 1st course items were ample and then the main and dessert to follow was the same. The German salad, mushrooms, pork cutlets, and rabbit was very nice.

What can I say the food and value took us there twice, don't miss this restaurant to fill your tummy. One would be silly to.

“Favorite restaurant in Madrid”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 25, 2013

Food is awesome, and reasonable. Go with a group, get a special meal deal, and they may throw in the wine. The head waiter/maitre'd looks like Saddam Hussein, but loves it if you try to speak Spanish and will take good care of you if you have a sense of humor. Tell him some of those crazy airline people recommended the place. Food is really good and it fills up fast, so be ready for the seating times.
