“Great hotel”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 16, 2013

Easy to find and within walking distance of most attractions. Our room was delightful with an amazing mural of Madrid on the bed and wardrobe walls. Super modern bathroom with huge walk in shower. I had booked a Seniors room was was not expecting such a great room.

I stayed at this hotel because it was free with my rewards points. Hotel is near the main train station. A little hard to find, but the location was nice. Very near a lot of most major attraction. The room was clean and very nice. Check-in was helpful and they gave me some good advice on how to use the city bus and the hop on and off bus. The only issue was bartender did not return to fix my drink late one night. The hotel is a long way from the airport. If you need a taxi, be prepared for cost was around €50. Train and bus are better options if you don’t have to be there really early. Breakfast was included.

Very nice clean room with super comfortable king bed with a great bathroom (two showerheads, towel warmer, very spacious with nice shower gel, shampoos etc). Our room was quiet. Didn't use the pool, it's in the basement and small - not super inviting looking. Nespresso machine and minibar, lots of wardrobe space and large safe (laptop would have fit easily). Wifi worked well, room was hot though - a/c would only go down to 19. We visited at the end of Sep, but if that's the case during the summer, I would have roasted (unable to open windows either).

This was in a fantastic location for us. 5 minute walk to Prado Museum and Atoche Rail Station. Retiro Park was 10 min's (if even) away. We didn't have time, but CaixaForum is just down the street also. Lots of places to eat and drink right close by, some shopping also but there were better areas for that elsewhere. If you're into it, the hop on/off bus is just down the street as well.

Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

If you've stayed at a Radisson before you know what to expect. A small Radisson, indeed one of only two on the Iberian peninsula, in the heart of Madrid. Staff display the normal professional discretion, offering help when you need it, but otherwise leaving you to it.

Highlights: Breakfast - wow - a small buffet but a great selection of Spanish cold cuts, Nespresso coffee and eggs+bacon (++) cooked to taste. Enjoy an afternoon coffee on the tables outside the hotel.

Location: 5 minutes from the Prado and 10 minutes from the Atocha station.

Deciding to have a short stay in Madrid in September to get a bit of warmth before an English Winter set in. The hotel is on the old town pedestranised area and you can walk out of the hotesl to all the plazas where you can sit out in the restaurants and bar tables and enjoy the warmth, good food, wine or cold beer. The Hotel itself had a set of tables in the Plaza straight outside the front door. Rooms were clean tidy and well managed, staff friendly and very helpful. Great Breakfast, all the Museums are in easy walking distance.

Room Tip: Worth seeing if you can upgrade to a business class room, breakfas, newspaper and pay TV included.

The location of this property across the street from the Prado, and easy walking distance to the Reina Sofia, and Thyssen-Bornemisza art museums make this an art lovers dream. Being off the main street by half a block makes is quite in the middle of the city and you can walk a block the other direction and be in a typical neighborhood. The central railroad station is only a few blocks away made a day trip to Toledo easy. The hotel offers all the quality that one expects from a Radisson Blu. The staff was friendly and took care of all our needs.

The hotel is located in an old historic building and when you see it you start wondering about the number of rooms available for guests. The location is perfect if you plan to visit the Prado museum as it is just across the street. It is a good hotel for business trips and not only but you should definitely avoid the single rooms as they are so tiny that you can barely move around. My judgement was that the bathroom is bigger in size than the room itself. The windows are soudproofed quite allright but if you open them then the whole Madrid lively atmosphere gets into your room regardless of the floor. Good restaurant and bar, clean and comfortable rooms.

Room Tip: You should definitely avoid the single rooms as they are so tiny that you can barely move around. My...

Thank you very much for your positive review, we appreciate the time you took and more that you had a great time during your stay with us.
Being a full renovated hotel with old wall from the XIX century, it is even for the most talented architect, designer or hotelier some time challenging to make the best out of available space within a historic building. Our court yard rooms are definitively the quite rooms in the hotel; however our outside rooms have the greater view. Being literally in the city center street noise remains always part of the urban environment.
We hope to welcome you soon
