Lovely place to enjoy tapas with friends or even in couple.

Waiters are really nice and food is pretty great.

Were on way to Madrid airport, so in a bit of a rush for food. It was a busy Saturday, but the waiters found us room at the back of the restaurant. It was very cramped and fairly basic looking and we had to stand up to let other people get past our table.

The menu was basic too, but we didn’t want fussy food, we just wanted to nosh and leave. I ordered ham, egg and potato, expecting to receive a gammon steak with a fried egg on top. What came to the table was straight from an episode of “Man vs Food”. A mountain of chips, swimming in oil, 4 greasy fried eggs....all covered with sheets of Serrano cured ham. I estimate that I ate 30% of the food offering before entering a food coma. The food begged for Tomato Ketchup, but there was none to be had.

The restaurant served its purpose for us....it was quick and basic. If you are looking for subtlety, peace and quiet and great decor, go somewhere else.....

Thank Ed S

We had a great time at this restaurant. It was recommended by friends of ours who go to Madrid quite often. It had a really local feel to it. We were there on a saturday evening and there were lots of locals spending time with their friends. We ordered different dishes like the recommended salad, garlic prawns, sangria and the entrecote. They were delicious! We shared all dishes, because the portions were quite big. The pice-quality was great! We definitly recommend this place!

My twin brother Stephen and I were pub and bar hopping around the wonderful vibrant and eclectic Huertas neighbourhood when we decided that a beer was in order and as this tavern had such an inviting exterior we decided to drop into here.
This is a wonderful tavern,the interior is about as traditional as it gets, ornately wood carved decorative features,stunning tiling that is so prevalent in the taverns in Madrid,great decor and furnishings including an eye catching serving bar and plenty of seating options spread throughout this wonderful place,it really is cool,the beautiful tiled exterior is awesome, we saw lots of people taking photos of this tavern.
We were here on a Tuesday very early afternoon, greeted warmly by a very pleasant member of staff who took our order of a beer each, these were served iced cold and sparkling and we just chilled out and took in the great tavern we were in.
To say this place is popular would be an understatement and on our visit was absolutely packed but with beer this good hardly surprising really, to go with our beers we were also offered a free tapa meal and this went with our beers so well and was much appreciated.
Our beer was outstanding as was the tapa,we had a great time in here before we moved on and for a first time visit we were very impressed indeed with this great tavern.
Fatigas Del Querer is really easy to locate on Calle De Don Ramon De La Cruz in the wonderful Huertas neighbourhood.
Opening hours are;
Monday to Sunday, 11am till 1am.
A great tavern and well worth checking out.

Really friendly service in here. Cheap tapas and the potato bravas were the best we had in Madrid. Fantastic choice of wines too
