Great food. Lovely guy managing the place. A real find but you must book. Best lunch in the city and great value for money!

You will not be sorry when you follow the trip advisor 'Point me there" feature on their appl - we got close enough to ask the exact location - 50 yards away. We walked in without a reservation and were greeted and treat as though we had. The owner was very pleasant and helpful. The Menu de Dia was just flat out SUPERB. Forgot to take a picture of the salad because it was so well presented and also tasted great - simply a small head of Bibb lettuce cut into quarters with goat cheese, nuts and a delicate balsamic dressing. My wife had the salmorejo which was similarly delicate and quite fine. Entrees were a Turkish style ground filet and a superb hake. The desserts were also quite nice. It is small - 7-8 tables and intimate.
Walk around, get lost, ask directions but find this restaurant. Clearly one of the best meals of our trip to Madrid and other parts of Spain

We had a fantastic late lunch after a morning at the Prado. The restaurant is a 5 minute walk from the museum, up a side street.

The restaurant was full but we got a table after a 10 minute wait. The restaurant is small, only about 8 tables total. The staff are very friendly and it felt like we were being welcomed into their home.

The food was excellent and the plates were beautifully presented. Definitely visit this place!

After reading other reviews, we decided to try this restaurant...we had high hopes, which may have been our first mistake! We enjoyed our starter of brie with tomato marmalade and jalapeno and the goat cheese salad. But the tuna sashimi sauce was too sweet, and the texture of the fish was not as we are accustomed to (chunks not slices...did not seem fresh). The grilled tuna with citrus reduction was just plain awful! The fish tasted fishy (as if it was not fresh), and the tuna was seriously over-cooked. The experience put me off fish for the remainder of our travels! The service was a bit haphazard, though one waiter (who insisted we call him signorito) was delightful. His fellow server (a woman) was cheerless and disorganized. A really disappointing experience!
