“Good value for money”
Reviewed December 1, 2012

Nice stay in Madrid. Very good value for money. I would recommend it.

Good points:
- Very good location
- Clean rooms
- Good service at the counter
- It seems they do an effort to provide the best service possible (B&B was recently renovated)

Not good points
- Walls not thick enough so you hear people walking out of the room

Room Tip: Maybe at the end of the corridor to avoid noice.

As title said. This is one of the best hostal I have stayed in. I personally think it was more of a small hotel than a hostal. The room was clean and big enough for a couple. The bed and the pillow was very comfortable. The aircon was fab and the bathroom was very clean too. I loved my stay and would definitely go back. I also stayed a very well known hotel in Madrid later on this trip and Abel Victoriano was WAY BETTER than this so called high class hotel. The staffs were extremely friendly too. Highly recommended.

we stayed there for 5 nights and couldn't fault anything. on arrival we got a free bottle of champagne and the staff were very welcoming. room was clean as well as the bathroom facilities. free wifi and air con. the location was fantastic for exploring madrid as it was a 2 minute walk from calle de gran via.
I would recommend this hostel for anyone, we had a very enjoyable stay and it was excellent value for money.

I had a really comfortable two week stay in this hostel. The room was clean and made up whenever I asked. Not daily. The main reason for having the room made up was to get clean towels evry few days. The air conditioner took a bit of working out but then I was able to sleep well at night. I couls even get laundry done for 5euros halfway through.
The breakfast inclided in the pricem 25 euros per night, was taken in the cafe next door. Freshly made orange juice, done in front of me, coffee and either a pastry or toast and jam. What more couls be asked. I bought the 10 journey metro tickets foe good value. Also I booked my own trains to other cities for visits. Much better than booking the more expensive coach trips available. Don't bother with the city bus tour. Walk using the walks recommebded in the AA guide to Madrid. You'll see everything at leisure.

Room Tip: Use the hostal website to see what it is like. Their own pictures are perfectly accurate.

Very clean and comfortable accommodation. Good sized room, en suit, bathroom a little small, but does the job.
Easy booking in. Room had air conditioning which worked really well. Breakfast vouchers provided inclusive in deal. Small cafe, named the Express bar next to Hostel.
Excellent breakfast provided, choice of pastries or croissants, freshly brewed coffee and freshly squeezed orange juice.

We also had lunch there on our way back to the airport. The sandwiches were delicious, and the cold beer!

Could not fault the accommodation or breakfast.
I have no hesitation to recommend either, plus Madrid for a long weekend away.

Found this through booking.com. great location in theatre district. Rooms were spotless, comfortable beds, helpful and friendly staff. Situated on the second floor of a large traditional Madrid building. Breakfast was taken (free) at the coffee shop on the corner with locals. Brilliant Madrid experience. Cant fault it. Why stay in some big impersonal hotel when you can stay in a lovely hostal like this and get to know the real Madrid and eat in local restaurants with the locals.

The hotel is conveniently locaded just by a metro station and close to the heart of the city (10 min walk). Rooms are small but nicely decorated. Service is very kind. It's abit noisy in the mornings though as the hotel is small and walls thin. But nothing serious. I would definitely go back, i had overall a giod experience there.
