Almost...
Not that friendly staff.
A few complications wuth the A/C wich were not easy to solve. It was particularly hot in Madrid (27/28ºC) and it was turned on to heat!!!!!!!! The staff kept on saying that it was impossible to change as it was April!?!?!? Had to change room...breakfeast ok but somethings were missing and it took time to rearrange. 2 of the mornings there was no space to sit and no one semed to care about it...
We would return?
Maybe... not sure...

Room Tip: One that the A/C works as you want too...

We were supposed to land in Madrid at a late time so we decided to book a hotel close to the airport. It turned out to be a wise decision, and our short stay at the Maydrit was great.

The only thing you need to know to make your arrival to the Maydrit as quick and smooth as possible is that you have to call the hotel to arrange your pickup. Make sure you have a device you can call with to the hotel because public phones at the terminal are very hard to find. If you don’t have a local sim card I suggest either to use the 15-minute free wifi in the terminal to send a message to someone you know that will make the call, or to ask a favor from someone local on your flight. The information counter at the terminal won’t do that for you no matter what! Once the call is made the pickup arrives within minutes, and the driver was also pretty cool.

Pros:
Excellent value for money
Hotel is modern and nicely decorated
Very nice and helpful staff
Breakfast is worth the 10 Euros
Shuttle service is fast and efficient

Cons:
Like any other airport hotel It’s not in the city. You can take the metro (3 minutes walk from the hotel) to the heart of town, and the ride lasts 30 minutes.

A free airport shuttle and a quiet location close to El Caprichio metro station made this hotel a perfect place for us to stay as an alternative to a comparative hotel closer to the city centre which would have cost more than twice as much - and only a 25 minute metro journey into the city centre by efficient and regular metro service.
Hard to find fault with this nipping clean and efficient hotel but if we had to nit pick we didn't really need our towells and toiletries changing every day, ecologically speaking. But many would say that this is a good "fault". Definitely our place to stay from now on.

Room Tip: All rooms are quiet with unobstructred views.

We stayed one night - the last of a 2 week adventure. I expected it to feel more like a hotel in the US than the small hotels that have more character and was not disappointed.

The rooms were large, wifi was free, and the temperature in the rooms comfortable. The electricity went out and couldn't be fixed so they put us in another room. Staff was friendly and helpful.

BUT...there is always a but, isn't there? The bathroom had no door - just an open space. The shower was enclosed in a totally clear glass and so was the toilet. This was OK with us as our kids are young (7 and 9) but would have been.....interesting if they were teens. The reservation I made for the free airport shuttle was lost. While waiting on the taxi to arrive the shuttle did - 20 minutes late. Glad we didn't rely on it to get us to the airport.

Attached restaurant was good. We had dinner and some of our group had breakfast the next day. Reasonably priced, too.

Over all a decent place to stay - only for the night heading out of town.Otherwise stay places that have more character.

Room Tip: Perfect for the night before a flight - close to the airport

Lots of polished marble, glass sinks, beautiful bathroom. Excellent, attentive staff. Lots of big, local parties in the restaurant, eating obviously good food. Always a good sign!
I've just walked to it from the airport. Complimentary wifi a bonus! Happy!

I just stayed for a night. Checking in late & checking out at 6 am.
The room was nice. Had no meals there owing to late Check in & early Check out.
Have two points which if paid attention could do wonders to the hotel.
The Reception Staff should be friendlier, i was being dropped by my contact from Valencia, he called the hotel from Melia Avendia America (have stayed there too - Good hotel to stay) to know the route. It is about 7 minutes from there, instead was guided all the way to almost Madrid centre.
Mind you the gentleman querying is also spainish so no language issues. We thought maybe wrong understanding so again queried they asked us to go to another Hotel & check out the directions !!
We went back to Avendo & asked them for directions but got mixed up so called them again but they were of no help instead asked us to check with some one. It took us over 2.30 hrs to reach the hotel that too Thanks to a lady residing close by who escorted us all the way to the Hotel !!!
Even my request to send a Shuttle anywhere prominent close to their Hotel was also refused - we have no shuttle to spare !!!
Their site states 24 hrs Shuttle. I requested a Shuttle at about 6.15 am but they advised they only have half hourly ones, mind you i was the only one to take the Shuttle. To me it did not matter to go earlier but the way it was said was not from hospitality industry !!
My request if we can get my bags weighed was brushed roughly at Euro 1 per bag. Would have done it had it been advised warmly.
My comments are not criticism but just for improvement

Room Tip: Cannot say as just stayed for a few hours ! But be prepared with a good map if driving in else like...
