The closest hotel to the Madrid airport is likely this one. It has 30 rooms. You can walk there from terminal 3 by crossing a footbridge that goes over the freeway, then walking a short distance into the village area. The hotel is a little tricky to find but the town is not that large or confusing even if you do not speak Spanish. Its about a 15 minute walk but print out maps before you travel.
It has 30 rooms. Though I requested a quiet one and the staff person insisted room 6 was quiet, it was not. Anyone walking down the hall could be heard. Outside any vehicle coming by or people talking could also be heard. If you have just arrived from overseas maybe you will be too tired to notice. There is no frig but there is a phone. Great, but if you ask for a 330am wakeup call don't expect it to happen! There is one window; the room is clean and if you have a lot of clothes to hang up there are a mere 5 hangers in the closet.
There is a nice shower but no tub. Toilet paper is locked up and consists of 20th century small sheets--not your customary roll. There is shampoo but no conditioner and a squeeze bottle of soap. The room has tile floors and good a/c. For 36 euros its a deal you cannot beat. Breakfast is 3 euros extra. The free wifi works really well.
The rooms are small with a small TV featuring no English channels. You can order pizza and it takes 30 minutes for delivery but is really good. Staff is quite helpful. Bring your own alarm clock though.
