Marisa & Manuel have created a jewel of an apartment. In addition you will find them most caring & helpful in making your stay as pleasant as possible. No detail has been forgotten. The apartment was spotless upon arrival. The welcome basket of goodies was a pleasant surprise. The location is within walking distance of the most important sites ( Palacio Real, La Almudena etc etc ) as well as literally hundreds of restaurants & shopping choices. If you are going to Madrid I wouldn't hesitate for a moment In booking this apartment. Highly recommended.
What can I say about this apartment that will demonstrate how excellent it is? Manual and Marisa greeted us like old friends. They are very proud of their apartment, and so they should be, and they checked in with us regularly to see if we needed anything. Everything about this accommodation was of the highest quality, as other reviewers on here have already said. The location was, as far as we were concerned, ideal. The furniture, linen and towels, cutlery and crockery and kitchen utensils were all premium quality. We loved the bathroom and I want one like it. The television was marvellous and the number of English speaking channels was amazing, as well as giving access to countless movies. A lovely welcome hamper was there for us. I’m running out of words to illustrate how good it is.
What also impressed us was the lengths to which the owners had gone to make sure that guests had everything they might need. The instruction manual was absolutely comprehensive. It was in three languages with photos to illustrate the instructions. There was a selection of articles provided in case guests had forgotten anything, from toiletries to over the counter painkillers. They even provided contact lens solution phials.
There is, however, one drawback to this apartment. It’s going to be very difficult to find anything to match up to it. If you ever go to Madrid, do yourself a favour and book this apartment.
My wife picked this stunning apartment for our first visit to Madrid. The owners couldn’t have been more helpful. Even before we arrived they were emailing us to see if we needed any help or guidance for our trip.
We picked up a taxi at Madrid airport which was a flat rate of €30 and it took about 20 minutes to arrive. The owners greeted us and took the time to show us around and how everything worked.
This is an ultra modern, first floor, one bedroom apartment of the highest quality. A great deal of thought had gone into the renovation, which looks like it had not long been finished. It was very tastefully decorated with some great features like the double size vapour fire place, the huge multimedia television with the Denon hi-fi system which allowed us access to countless English language channels from both the UK and the US.
The kitchen area had a great double sized fridge freezer, an nespresso coffee machine and a separate wine cooler fridge. The owners had provided a huge basket of goodies from chocolates to breadsticks, coffee pods and cakes and we were presented with a very nice bottle of Ribiera which went down a treat later in the week. Everything you could think of was on site.
The shower and toilet was stunning with a huge walk-in rainfall shower with wall shower jets and a handheld shower head. Again everything you could think of was supplied with sponges, shower gel, spare towels which were thick and soft, even bath robes in a variety of sizes.
The bedroom was perfect. It was a super king size with the best quality sheets and pillows, a perfect nights sleep from day one. The room was separate from the lounge area by an unusual full length glass and old timber frame wall which in the evening could be closed off with an electric blackout roller blind which descended from the ceiling. There was another electric blind which did the same for a full length glass wall which separated the bedroom and shower room.
The location of this apartment was as good as it gets for both shopping and sight seeing. The Grand Via (Madrid’s main shopping street) was less than 5 mins walk and the Royal Palace was about 100 yards at the bottom of the road.
On street level, directly under the apartment is a small cafe which opens early and closes very late. We used this for breakfast and it was very reasonable at €4 for two coffees plus two toasted croissants with butter and jam. The cafe had tables outside and it attracted a local clientele.
Because of one of Madrid’s main hotels being opposite the apartment, there was a taxi rank which never failed to have a taxi available.
This has to be one of the best and most luxuriously equipped apartments we have been in to date and we would certainly stay there again.
Marisa and Manuel have outdone other hosts with attention to every detail. First off, you could not pick a better location in Madrid. Everything is virtually at you doorstep. The apartment is luxurious , meticulously equipped and impeccably clean. Super comfortable king bed, luxury linens, gourmet kitchen, big HD TV and stereo, great bathroom and shower and everything is there that you need including a very nice assortment of snacks, breakfast foods. We didn't even need to go shopping. The washer and dryer were a big plus for our extended trip. This was definitely a cut above the rest. Highly recommend. You will not be disappointed. I only hope that you don’t book it before we do next time we are in Madrid.
Marisa & Manuel are amazing hosts, very professional and their apartment I would rate as 6 star luxury~ based on the quality of furnishings, bed linen and of course the beautiful kitchen and the very generous welcome pack.
We would not hesitate to recommend. Loved every moment of our stay

The location alone would be enough to rate this property highly. After that what’s offered is in a class of its own. This is unquestionably one of the nicest, best presented and best managed apartment stays we have experienced – and we have experienced many.
Located on a quiet street at the end of Santo Domingo Plaza, many of the headline tourist venues in the city are within walking distance and when you need to go further afield, it’s an easy walk to the subway stations at Santo Domingo, Opera, Callao or Grand Via which, between them, connect to virtually everywhere in Madrid. The web photos give but a taste of this modern, supremely comfortable, complete and well-presented apartment and the host, Marisa, was gracious, informative and ever helpful.
The good: the service experience started before we had even arrived with a compendium of information about the city, things to do, places to eat and all else of interest. Marisa kept in contact right the way to the front door where we were met and introduced to the property along with a sumptuous welcome basket of goodies that could have kept us nourished and watered for several days.
The first floor apartment is easy to access, spacious in all respects, conspicuously clean, comfortable, as quite as a tomb and very tastefully and completely appointed. Everything expected was there and it all worked as expected. Indeed, if there was anything more that could have been provided we didn’t discover what it was during our extended stay.
The king bed was comfortable, the linens and bath towels plush and in ample supply. There was plenty of storage and hanging space for our belongings and the included Wifi worked well on all our devices. The bathroom is also spacious, modern and very efficiently laid out. The lighting was excellent and the plumbing worked perfectly.
All of the apartment apparatus is modern and some of it a little challenging to operate first up but there is an extensive album of instructions on everything at hand which guided us through all that we needed.
The not so good: you have to really nit-pick to find anything here but a bit of noise penetrates into the apartment from the entry door below which didn’t bother us at night but could be distracting during the day. Really, the biggest problem with the place was that we couldn’t stay longer – but we will next time.
My husband and I travel quite a bit. We've been to Europe from the US three times in the last year and we've traveled within the US at least as much this year. All of that is just to say that we have experience with various types of accommodations...hotels, airbnb, vrbo, etc. Marisa and Manuel's place is in the top three of places we have stayed (ever, not just in the past year).
Their welcome immediately makes you feel at home. And the welcome basket is second to none. We so appreciated the coffee, milk, water, biscuits, and other goodies. In our experience it is unusual to get into a place too much before check-in. We got off the plane at 8:30am and were in the apartment by 10am.
The entire place is elegant and comfortable. The bathroom is large and the soft king bed with luxurious linens is heavenly. We did not cook, but you absolutely could and have what you need. And the location is excellent. We walked everywhere.
I wish this place was available everywhere we go!
