“Sublime...best ever dining experience!”
Reviewed September 18, 2013

I would recommend getting a cab to the restaurant as it's not that easy to find but when you do you need to ring the buzzer as if you were entering an apartment. As you enter you are greeted by very personable staff who take you to your table. From start to finish this can only be described as an excellent experience of food and art. The staff were amazing explaining each dish and how best to eat it and recommending excellent but decently priced wine. To be honest it was a piece if theatre that I would highly recommend to anyone to experience and the icing on the cake was meeting the chef Diego Guerrero and his team who were so gracious....thx all.

“delicious surprises”
Reviewed September 17, 2013

el club allard has it all, enjoyed the tasting menu and the gastronomic journey it led me on. food runs on the slightly saltier side, if not used to the local palette.

fave dish: eggs with bread and pancetta served over a light potato cream sauce -- simple, delicious

“Best meal ever eaten to-date”
Reviewed September 13, 2013

Obviously, this place is well known as is the chef. We had the tasting menu. It worked out to be about $100 per person. Each dish was like a work of art, but also tasted flawless. Many dishes were such interesting combinations of flavor that I had not had before. Everything was cooked perfectly. Everything was fresh. Even a tiny little carrot in one dish tasted like the most potent and delicious carrot flavor I have had.

The service was perfect. They don't speak great English, but enough to get by for most of the servers.

It is hard to locate. It is on the corner and has a box outside that looks like you buzz into an apartment. No obvious signs except etched in the glass of the windows.

The Chef visited all the tables at the end of the meal to ask how things were and seemed to really care and take it personally.

The total bill was a little over $300 with Cava, a glass of Port, and coffee for my wife. It was well worth it. This place deserves its reputation and its two Michelin stars.

“Best of the best in Madrid”
Reviewed September 12, 2013

Club Allard was a very positive surprise in our home city. I wonder why I had not gone to this restaurant before. The tasting menu is absolutely flawless and the food has amazing taste, I think Diego Guerrero finds just the right balance between innovation and cooking food that tastes to food (as opposed to many other chefs that call themselves followers of Adria and cook food that does not taste to food).

All the dishes were delicious. There is no a la carte dining, you are offered three different tasting menu options, that vary in the number of dishes to taste and you are asked if you have any food alergies or dislikes. I must confess that I did not like the method so much when it was presented to me, but you have to trust the chef, because every dish that came out of the kitchen was absolutely delicious, both in execution and presentation.

The dessert part of the dinner was especially interesting, some of the desserts that I tried are comparable to the ones taht you have in Arzak! Especially the fishbowl ("la pecera").

To me, the food of this restaurant deserves the third michelin star, I am afraid that it wont be long until it gets it and then we locals will have to wait more for reservations and pay more for the food!

“One of the top restaurants in Spain”
Reviewed September 2, 2013

Everything was perfect in this place: food, service, ambience, ...

It is located in an historic building in the center of Madrid. No external indications due to this fact.

You just need to chose between short and long menu (5 or 7 courses, if I recall correctly).

Great choice, good ratio cost / qualiy but expect to pay over 100 euros/ person. To me is one of the 10 best restaurants in Spain
