“Wow!!”
Reviewed September 30, 2012

What an experience!! Firstly, the cab driver had never heard of this place, and not for long. The chef came out and personally described his menu and food. Ive never seen that. He cared so much about his craft. What an incredible incredible meal!! Not to be missed. A little formal but well worth it!! One of our best meals in Spain. This chef will be a giant soon.

“Watch out Heston!”
Reviewed September 19, 2012

This restaurant serves absolutely fantastic food, on a par with The Fat Duck. Obviously, you have to want multi-course cutting edge food, rather than a "conventional" meal. They do THREE tasting menus (there is no choice of food from a conventional menu) - meaning a repeat trip is mandatory.
The place is a bit hard to find - on the corner of calle Ferraz through some wrought iron doors into a foyer then up a flight of stairs.
The wine list has the merit of being very affordable.
Lunch lasts about 3 hours - perfectly paced.
GO !

“excellent dinner”
Reviewed July 31, 2012

Some of the finest cuisine in my life!! Serving was absolutely great and professional, also friendly.
We ate something like 12 small (tiny) dishes
The place is spectacular : nice and warm. We were invited to a glass of champagne upon arrival. I recommend you to try, is exquisite. I quess our gala dinner was quite expensive one.
We had a special evening there. Wine tasting and guided tour through
the most important wine regions in Spain, by Mrs. Pilar Oltra, one
of the few female Master of Wine aspirants in Europe was there then.

“What an adventure!”
Reviewed July 26, 2012 via mobile

Gorgeous location and venue. Ate in the little room and had taster menu. Presentation and quality of food is second to none. A high point for me in culinary experiences.
I would highly recommend Diego's restaurant for foodies, extremely experimental and so so exciting! Well done.
