A lot of intersting facts and history behind the construction of the tunnel. A lot of walking though but worth it!

Must see attraction in Gibraltar. Siege tunnels with cannons facing Spain and actual location as used in battles for the peninsula. The tunnels are a bit pricey as a single attraction but are included on a group tickets allowing access to other places on the rock. This is important as there are many interesting things to see nearby.
The tunnels are probably the best of the attractions - I paid extra to visit WW2 tunnels and expected to enjoy them more, but in reality these were better. Lots of life models and cannons on display giving an accurate depiction of life at the time. Amazing views towards Spain and across the airport from gun positions in the rock. (And amazingly you can also get a mobile phone signal inside the rock)

The tunnels offer extraordinary sights northward, towards La Linea. If you lucky on time, you'll see also a plane landing or taking off at the strange Gibraltar airport, where car road and plane tarmac cross each other.
The huge tunnels, built in the 18'th century, are trully amazing. Only inside you can grasp how the small British survived the siege for years, outwitting the Spaniards.
Very well preserved, with many historical explanation pannels.
The way from the top is very long.
After visiting, you will probably continue walking down to the city.

Wondering through the tunnels with the wax people in costume, speakers playing noises of the time, it was amazing to learn the history and how vast the network is.

Fascinating - that the siege lasted over 3 years and the locals hung in there and dig these tunnels . Hard work with limited food supplies !

I would recommend taking an organised tour - you would miss so much without a guide .

A great place to visit !

I visited the Great Siege Tunnels the last time i was visiting Gibraltar. Its such an awesome place with great information and the tunnels are well laid out . The exhibits are excellent from the cannons to the dummies standing by them. The sound effects are awesome and give you a feel of what it must have been like during the sieges. A great attraction and I would recommend personally you visit the siege tunnels. Its part of the History of Gibraltar. I would visit the siege tunnels anytime i am back in Gibraltar again.

To a history buff, Gibraltar is out there! These tunnels, chiseled out by hand hundreds of years ago! Cannons hauled by hand & block and tackle......tough guys for tough times. Take the time to explore here. Audio is available in many languages

The history behind the building of these tunnels is quite impressive as it was done by hand and is several kilometres long. There are good viewing spots throughout.
