“A must place to visit when on holiday in costa del sol”

Gibraltar is a must to visit when on holiday in the Costa del Sol .We were in the resort of Fuengerola and decided to visit gibraltar.I must say we were not disapointed .The shopping is great the cable car ride is fantastic a well worthit trip. The monkeys are amazing but a little tip do not take food to feed them or have loose items eg cameras or bags or they will steal them from you. When hungry try eating at Alfresco/s the fish and chips are fab.One more tip don/t book the trip with the holiday rep or the hotel much cheaper to book with local excursion booking agents numerous around resorts

“Amazing Views!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 1, 2013

I am so glad we chose to visit Gibraltar rock via cable car, I would definitely recommend this to anyone visiting Gibraltar. We chose to purchase a trip to Gibraltar from Torremolinos which we booked in advance in the UK before departing to Spain. The trip cost us 15 Euros each by coach with Visit Africa.com, well worth the cost as this company were brilliant. On arrival at Gibraltar, with a small queue to get through customs (about 30 minutes) we chose to walk and explore for ourselves. The coach company charged an extra 20 Euros each to upgrade to the rock tour so we wanted to see if we could do it ourselves for a cheaper price. Glad we did as we stumbled upon the cable car and rode to the top where the views are amazing. The cable car cost was around 10 Euros each, expensive but worth it. At the top, the apes roam freely but beware, they try to snatch your bags at any given opportunity! Hold your bags close to you as a bag waving in the wind will be snatched within seconds. I would recommend the cable car experience to anyone wanting to go it alone

“Funny experience with the macacques”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 29, 2013

Cable car is working fine (though dated) - the top offers great views and the best part are the macacques which are very cute. Mind don't approach them with food, they get rather excited to steal it.
A recommended attraction when in Gibraltar.

“Still running well”

My girlfriend was a bit scared to give it a try but afterwards we both enjoyed the ride. This is a spectacular attraction going back many years and still one of the best things to do in Gibraltar. The of botanical gardens beneath is amazing.

“Cable car”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 25, 2013

We travelled to Gibraltar from where we were staying in Marbella, parking in La Linea and walking into Gibraltar, got the bus to the cable car, despite it being high season there was not much of a queue and we were on the cable car in minutes, very squashed in but your not in it for long, when at the top the monkeys are very entertaining, the children loved it be careful the monkeys did jump on my husbands back despite us following all the rules regarding bags, food etc. It was very hot so headed to the cafe for a drink and we wanted to use the bathroom however we were informed these facilities were not available as there was no water. There was not warning of his at the bottom and in the August heat we really needed a drink, you can not drink outside the cafe due to the monkeys grabbing your things. Therefore My daughter felt a little hot and bothered and a bit dizzy on the way down, the man operating the cable car was very kind offering to get her a drink. I just wish we were advised there were no facilities before we went up as we would have had a drink and toilet break before heading up.
