This cute little cemetery is a peaceful spot in the middle of a bustling city. It is well kept and has graves dating back to the Battle of Trafalgar.

Spend some time wandering through the paths of this historical resting place, you won't regret it. Most of the tombs are from the late 1700s, and have some very interesting inscriptions.

I'm not that into history but this cemetery is very interesting, it isn't very big so should only take you about half an hour to have a good look around.

A fascinating place with many old gravestones some dating back to 1700's. Quite a few refer to Trafalgar and other sea battles. Made me feel fortunate to live in a world of modern medicine - so many died from " fever". Most stones in relatively good condition. Others were worn but that is no surprise given their age and the climate. Lush and green, easy to find - a really good way to touch history.

If you are interested in British Naval History then you are duty bound to visit the Graveyard. It's at the top of the main street immediately outside the walls, on the left hand side.
We maintained, and worth a 15 minute visit. Blue Badged.
So easy to find, no admission fee, and only 15 minutes walk back to the cruise ship.
