The Rock Hotel Restaurant, is excellent, still in the old style old service.
which is great, you get feeling of being important and looked after in style.
The food is also excellent with a good range, and nothing is too much trouble for the team looking after you.
Would definitely eat there again.

“What a view”
Reviewed September 25, 2012

Visited to simply sit and absorb the wonderful views on Wisteria terrace and had a really nice light lunch with drinks, we were looked after by the staff and service was quick and cheerful. Our stay this time was at The Elliott but will make sure our next visit will be abck at this wonderful hotel, in my opinion the best and friendliest in Gibraltar

“Give it a miss.”
Reviewed September 14, 2012

We eat here every night as we were staying at the hotel and the evening meal was included. A pity but the menu's looked really good but were let down by the waiter service and the food was nothing exceptional. The restaurant was busy with diners waiting but tables were left for ages with the previous diner’s dirty plates and glasses. The waiters were just walking by and seemed to be doing there own thing without being given an order by the head man. For a 4 star restaurant we were disappointed.

“Typically 1st class!”

Cleanliness, staff, attention to detail, food; everything to my complete satisfaction though as in all places where service is excellent, a little pricy especially the wines!

“Tired, poor service, a bad hotel”
Reviewed August 24, 2012 via mobile

A very tired hotel, obviously was nice in the 70s but neglected now. The staff didn't know what they were doing, running around and arguing with each other. The lead waitress was rude and barked at everyone, including the customers! Overpriced, nowhere near worth the money. The only glimmer of hope was the night porter, who was helpful and friendly, but he didn't have a hope with such a poorly run hotel.
