Overall I was quite satisfied with my overnight stay.

I chose this hotel for its central location - on the waterside right across the marina. But it is rather far from the railway station. Those arriving from the airport with bus line C9A can get off at "Policarpo Sanz" and stroll downhill to the marina. However bear in mind that Vigo is built on a hill (steep streets!); I strongly recommend to have a city map to find your way.
Booked my room on AC Hoteles own website - I got an unbeatable "Winter Offer" discounted fare of 60EUR for a standard room excluding breakfast.

Check-in quick but the receptionist was a bit distant with only limited English skills. I was given a room on the 3rd floor with a nice front view over the marina. It was quite spacious and functional. Pleasantly surprised by the amenities: individual air-conditioning, large closet, individual safe, small working desk. The bed was comfortable with four pillows and a very firm mattress. All equipment working properly. Bathroom is small but adequate, bath and WC spotlessly clean.
A nice touch was the free minibar including diverse softdrinks, juice, mineral water and beer - but no snacks or chocolates.
I travelled off-season end of January, so that night life in Vigo was limited. The night club mentioned by previous reviewers was closed. However in busy summer, I guess that noise might be annoying.

On the downside the room service menu was limited and uninspiring. I also missed some coffee-making facilities.

I did not eat breakfast at the hotel, as there are many cafés and restaurants in the adjacent streets.

I had the distinct feeling that the hotel was understaffed, perhaps due to the off-season period. During my weekend stay there were only two receptionists on duty, the breakfast room had only one waiter and I did not see any maid. Both restaurant and lounge bar were closed on Saturday and Sunday!

All in all I can recommend this hotel for its central location, very comfortable room and good value-for-money. However travelling in January means very quiet evenings.

Room Tip: Ask for a room facing the marina

Stayed at this hotel for the Conexmar Exhibition in October, this made the hotel cost a little fortune as to compare to other searched dates. Checked in late at night, being informed at the reception desk that I am being upgraded to a bigger room, facing the Port of Vigo, also what I found nice about this location and probably the whole hotel chain is the free mini bar which was stocked well with water, basic alcohols, some other soft drinks and snacks. The bathrooms are ultra modern with glass sinks, everything is well designed and functinal. Took the elevator to the gym which was limited but equiped with high end cardio machines. If you are with a car, you can park it on the opposite side in a funky functioning parking where cars are being parked for you. From what I heard there is a fish market early in the morning a minute walk from the hotel where you can eat - open to order oysters and other freshly caught fish. In the morning, even after check out you could use the free wifi in the lobby of the hotel.

Room Tip: Ask for a room facing the Port and the Water Side

I always like to visit a new hotel and this one was in a great location with all new amenities including a very cool bathroom

Unfortunately it was wasted on me as I arrived at 22:00 and departed early, but the bed breakfast and bathroom were perfect

Perfectly located, looked great on the outside and lived up to it with the rooms (including free minibar) and the buffet breakfast. A front-facing room has the slight challenge of the passing traffic and the noise into the wee sma' hours from the nightclub across the road. Staff were helpful throughout. Good recommendation.

Room Tip: Go for a front-facing room but find a way to take away the noise from the nightclub.

Clean area in the harbour with shopping malls, restaurants and shops. Very clean place, good internet, decent bar, nice modern rooms.

Room Tip: Ask for a view to the bay
