We were in the new building with a room facing the bay. The room was as close to perfect as hotel rooms get at this price. Separate bathtub and shower were especially nice.
Issues Minor, they could use more plugs in the room. There is one under the desk, but no hole in the desk to your a cord through. I ended up routing a cord down behind the TV.

Not so minor. This is now a 100% non-smoking hotel. But, in some of the rooms they still supply an ashtray and matches, presumably to be used on the outdoor patio. Since there are no signs prohibiting smoking in the rooms, some people will still do that. HINT, if you get a room that smells of smoke, ask to be moved to the second floor (new building). Those rooms never allowed smoking and are not furnished with ashtrays. BTW, when this issue came up, the manager was quick to resolve the problem and personally helped us move our bags to the new room. Well done!

The atmosphere of the hotel is authentic, since it preserves everything that can be the architectural conditions of a Pazo as old as this one. The modern part contrasts much with the restored one. Unbeatable views of the Vigo estuary. Perhaps the pool should be updated to the quality level of the entire hotel. Breakfasts, truly, are authentic festivals. Unforgettable also the cordial visual contact of all the hotel staff and their education and good attitude.

Stayed here for three nights on a tour of Northern Spain and so glad we did. The hotel is excellent and the location is great for exploring the local coast line. We upgraded to a sea view room with balcony/terrace and so glad we did. Breakfast is good and staff very helpful. The Spa is an additional charge and is quite expensive for what you get. We were given free access which was a nice touch by the hotel for an hour session. However it’s pleasant Spa but not worth the charge. The outdoor pool in the other hand is very good and great for a dip after a walk along the coast path. The only other frustration for us was the fact that there are no tea/coffee making facilities in the room however hotel will provide hot water etc from the bar. We stayed in the old building with a view over the garden and beach. The room was spotless and cleaned every day to a very high standard and the bathroom was very well equipped. Car parking is free and there is a large underground car park. Plenty of places to eat locally so don’t need to drive out in the evening. We would definitely return to this hotel if we are in Vigo again and have no hesitation in recommending this hotel.

Definitely 5 star accommodation. Stayed in the old building. The furnishings and decor was fabulous as was the view. The garden was beautifully kept. Reception staff were friendly and the rooms were cleaned everyday. I really can’t say enough about the standard of accommodation.

However whilst the standard of accommodation was fabulous the service and food fell below a 5 star standard. Simple things such the pool area was locked until 11 o’clock, no tea / coffee facilities in room, service charge to bring them to room was €8. No pool service but you could telephone the bar at a charge of €4 for refreshments to be brought to you. The bar was across a private road and in the new building. I would expect a service charge but not more than what you order. Lunch was €50 for small pizza and burger with a beer and tea. Dinner around €110. It was average. The steak was blue we asked for a medium so asked for it to be cooked more the waitress said “this is medium”. Attitude changed from then. Then the chef came out to have a look at us. Which was a tad intimidating. There was only another couple in the dining room. Once 2 Spanish gentlemen came in which I assume had something to do with hotel we and the other couple were ignored to the point both tables had to find our own bottles of wine to fill our glasses. The jacuzzi in the room didn’t work which was no big deal but we had to inform reception twice and it was then fixed day 3. There was no pink gin, no mojito and no strawberry Dakar. The only barman that could make cocktails never seemed to be available.

Had a fabulous holiday and the accommodation is definitely lush. With one or 2 tweaks it could be marvellous.

I love this hotel, it is comfortable, beautiful and service is excellent! It is located close to the Samil beach, in a very calm area in front of the sea. The restaurant is great, as well as the breakfast, we always get the room with breakfast included. I would highly recommend this family owned hotel, we always stay here when we visit Vigo.
