Very nice hotel. We stayed in old bldg and our friends in new bldg. spacious rooms but definitely not queen beds, they were a little bigger than singles. Our friends had difficulty programming safe & we had difficulty draining jacuzzi tub. Beautiful grounds! Outstanding breakfast! Some staff were not so friendly like we were intruding. We had dinner with lobster, rice, not recommended, rice very salty, lobster ok. Overall nice hotel on coast.

This is one of the best hotels in Vigo. A choice competing with Parador de Baiona, closer to Vigo. The rooms are nice with great views to the "Ria". It has 2 buildings, and if you are in the newest one, you have to get out to go to the old one for breakfast.

Room tip: Room with a view to the sea, no doubts.

This is a great hotel to be based for exploring this part of Galicia. I wasn't sure whether to stay for 2 days here plus 2 nights in Santiago de Compostela before heading back to Porto or 4 nights in one place. I am glad we decided to stay without the hassle of packing and driving. RENFE From Vigo is very convenient, 50 min and 25 euros for a round trip to Santiago. We just took a day trip to visit which was enough for us.

The breakfast at hotel was outstanding, fresh squeezed orange juice, good quality iberico ham, and a lot more. The spa was very enjoyable. True you have to pay 18 euros per person per usage. But it is high quality and not crowded. And my experience in Spain is that some 5 star hotels are charging this spa fee so that they can keep the room price low. That's fair for the ones who don't use the service.

The restaurant Bocarte is great. Given I was traveling w two kids, the standard dinner time for the Spaniards is not until 21:00 and there is no restaurants nearby, this was our top choice. The food is excellent especially the Iberico pork rice dish, super yummy if you are lucky ( I ordered on 2 different nights, the quality was not consistent, the first one was mesmerizing, the second one was not exactly the same but still good). The price is not that high compared to el mosquito the famous seafood restaurant we went in town. By the way, El mosquito was not only expensive, but also mediocre, totally not worth your ride out in the dark. It was one of the least inspiring meal I had on my 10 day Portugal/Spain trip.

I booked a non sea view room as I wasn't planning to stay indoor much. But upon arrival I upgraded at 20 euros per night. It was a great decision. The view and the extra space on the balcony are totally worth the extra money.

Tour operator booked us in so DK re price but prices I've seen on line look like great value. Really is luxury - big rooms, wide corridors, lots of decoration inside and out, gardens to sit in, great feeling of space. Had nice pool to ourselves (Scots swimming in October!) A big wedding was on but didn't affect us - we watched it! Massive sandy beach nearby, but you need to take taxi (€10 or so) or bus into city centre. BREAKFAST the best I've ever had - vast choice of top quality ingredients, hot and cold. Great staff too

Room tip: We were in the older building and liked its character
