I stayed at this hotel for 4 nights after completing 116 km of the Camino de Santiago from Sarria, Lugo. I was given a room with a small enclosed balcony at the front of the building. I thought it would be noisy but, sure enough, when I closed the shuttered doors, it was quiet. I loved sitting in this tiny balcony (a common feature in Galicia known as a "galeria") watching the constantly changing Galician weather, reading a book or just sipping a cup of hot coffee. The staff was excellent: polite, obliging, very helpful and friendly. I felt like there was nothing I could ask for that they would not do to make my stay as plesant as possible. The location is excellent. There is a park just a stone's throw away, the major attractions of Santiago within easy walking distance, shops and restaurants of your choice so numerous you can find practically anything you want. I felt at home and very safe at this hotel. It was simple, clean and priced well. There was nothing I did not like about it and would recommend it to anyone who is looking for good value for their money.

Everything is fine with this hotel. Hotel Herradura is located close to Park La Alameda and only two blocks to old city Santiago and an eight minute walk to the cathedral and fine restaurants on Ruas Franco and Villar.
Parking is available close to the hotel at reduced daily rate (about 7 Euros per day) due to an agreement of the Hotel with the parking lot. They even provide valet parking for free.
Front desk personnel and owner are extremely helpful and polite.
The rooms are of good size and very comfortable and well furnished and decorated. Rooms and bathroom very clean and well provided of soap, shampoo and other toiletries. Beds were confortable. The hotel has elevator.
Wi Fi worked perfectly all time.
A nice breakfast was provided at additional cost (three types of breakfast offered including the traditional continental breakfast).
I strongly recommend this hotel to tourists visiting Santiago de Compostela.

Room Tip: Talk to the front desk staff and owner. They will take good care of you.

The Hotel Heradura is a welcoming, impeccably clean, perfectly located hotel. The staff is helpful and accommodating. This was an emotional return to Santiago after four years and the staff at the hotel remembered us! We loved our return stay at this sweet hotel.
