The hotel has a great location, situated between the old town and the university. All of the attractions, including the cathedral, are nearby. We were really impressed with the service provided by the staff. When we arrived I parked the car in the small lane next to the hotel. After checking in and unloading the luggage, one of the staff took the car and parked it at a nearby public garage for us. At the end of the trip, they retrieved it and helped us reload our luggage. I checked on our car while we were there, and it had been safely parked close to the attendant's booth. The staff was great about offering us advice and directions, or just offering us coffee if they saw us around the hotel. They also offer free access to a computer and internet in a lower floor conference room.

We had a 3rd floor room, which was located under the sloping roof. This wasn't a problem, even though I'm about 6 feet tall, because there was enough clearance to avoid banging my head. We did find the room a little bit noisy at night, but it wasn't as bad as other locations, and didn't bother our sleep. Everything was nice and clean.

Overall, this was a great hotel and I have no trouble recommending it to others.

After walking the Camino from Sarria to Santiago this hotel was like a mirage. It´s in a great location, in the historic district close to the cathedral. The staff were ultra-friendly and helpful, the room was sweet and clean and it was very quiet. I cannot think of a single negative thing to say. I highly recommend this hotel.

What this hotel has going for it is its staff. Everyone is truly wonderful--friendly, helpful, professional--the best staff that we found in our 18-day trip in central-northern Spain. We were greeted late at night around 11 p.m. (It's not easy getting to Santiago), by two very friendly people at the desk. When we asked them about a restaurant. They steered us toward an excellent, reasonably priced restaurant, about a block away. At breakfast, the servers were always accommodating.

The room itself was small, very simply decorated, and bathroom amenities a bit limited. Truth to tell, I was somewhat disappointed. This was not a cheap hotel. If it weren't for the terrific personnel there, I would say that the hotel was not worth it.

I was with my family on this hotel and we all really liked it. It is clean, comfortable, localized in a good area, next to the centre, and the staff polite and friendly.

About the room, also, it was so good to sleep in, dark, had a good smell, a good view from the street.

The only "problem" was the breakfast. Because there is no counter for the customer to serve himself, the staff brings the food to each table - some toasts, jelly and butter. We could repeat it, ask for more, but it is better when we can serve ourselves, we feel more comfortable with the situation. A great place to stay!!

I stayed here with a friend for one night at the end of our Camino de Santiago walking holiday and cannot rate it highly enough. It's located just a two minute walk from the center (if you are walking the camino from the portugese route you actually pass the door on your journey). It is a lovely quite hotel and the room we stayed in wasn't large by any means but spotless and very comfortable. The breakfast was lovely. The major plus point to this hotel is it's staff and service. The staff are very friendly and helpful and our beds were turned down when we returned from our day out.
