The last 20km of the 272km that I walked on the Camino were tough for me, because I had pulled a muscle on the previous evening and needed painkillers to get me to the end. The hotel was brilliant: classy, cultural and beautifully appointed with modern fitments. The staff were super-helpful, the food was excellent, the rooms were clean, comfortable and roomy, and there was a brilliant swimming pool and hot tub! Everything you need for a base in Santiago - but especially welcome to a tired and limping pilgrim.

Simply adorable with its ancient character juxtaposed with modern amenities and conveniences. Amazing how they added the modern facilities without diminishing the original architectural integrity and character of the place. Simply awesome ambience inside.

This monastery-turned-hotel from the XIII century perfectly combines medieval architecture with state-of-the-art accomodations. Super clean rooms, very proffessional and friendly staff and very comfortably living area coexist with the opulent, rather cold and overwhelming church, patios and other large monastery areas. At a walking distance from most of Santiago’s attractions.

If you are doing The Camino treat yourself to a stay at Hotel Monumento San Francisco nice alternative to the hustle and bustle of the over rated Parador. Attached to Church of San Francisco. This restored convent is a nice combination of modern and traditional. Excellent restaurant with a 20€ prix fixe based on recipes from various Spanish convents. Lovely lap pool. Only criticism is that there was no where to sit and relax at the pool between laps. It is strictly for laps. Breakfast staff seemed frazzled every morning (stayed three nights) but overall it was a great find.

After ending my Camino I wanted a hotel in the center just next to the Cathedral.
This hotel is in a great spot only 1 m from the main square and offers comfortable rooms with a great breakfast.
Restaurant Also is very good at reasonable price
Staff is super helpful for any need
I would recommend this place if you want to relax, use the pool and be in the centre
