Nest Style Santiago
Reviewed September 6, 2013

Very simple.
Nice staff.
Super central 5 minute from the Cathedral.
Small rooms but clean.
A nice place to stay in Santiago. I recommend.
Supermarket in front, shopping area, good cakes next the door and a good coffe shop.
We don't need more than this.

This was just the perfect hotel for what we needed. We were three people traveling together and needed a triple room. There aren't very many to be had and since the area route is frequented by pilgrims, one tends to find basic group-type lodgings. This hotel had all the amenities, style and comfort of a hotel that would usually be much more expensive. The staff was kind and super helpful with our rental car issues and made great suggestions for eateries and sights nearby.
I loved the room, the staff and the hotel itself. The breakfast was reasonably priced and abundant with lots of fresh and healthy choices as well as the usual bad choices. I highly recommend this hotel for its location, price, and quality. I will surely stay her again..

I followed the information given on Tripadvisor and can confirm that it is really what is mostly said. I mainly appreciated the helpful people at the reception desk. You can ask any question, they will really take all the time it needs to give a full answer and even make copies of the information they gave you. And what I must add: you do not find such a cheap place with that level of cleanness.

Room Tip: The high levels are quieter ( noisy street, but excellent double glazing)

Lovely friendly staff, decent breakfast, perfect for a short break, free wifi! central location, 2 min walk from the bus from the airport which only cost 3 euros a person.
Highly recommended for the budget traveller who only wants to explore the city and rest their head.
Lot's of facilities close by, supermarkets, chemists and bars.

Room Tip: Rooms at the back of the hotel are quiet with no view.

We stayed at this hotel after completing the Camino de Santiago . The staff were extremely friendly & helpful. The hotel let us leave a suitcase at the hotel for a week while we were doing the walk. Breakfast was plentiful , the rooms were very clean & spacious. The hotel was well situated near to the Old Town & Cathedral , &handy for the airport bus which stopped in the same road. I would definitely stay there again & recommend it to other travellers. Good air conditioning.

Room Tip: Rooms on the front of the hotel have a balcony but could be noisy. I advise using ear plugs.

We stayed here for 2 nights during our visit to Santiago del Compostela. It was absolutely perfect. We had a huge room (102) - which faced into a hollow space between the buildings - so it was wonderfully quiet. The bathroom was huge (I think we might have had the handicapped room), the shower delightful, and the breakfast was perfect. Fresh fruit, pastry, and amazingly - for a Euro a big cup, Cafe con Latte. I think the first cup might be free - hard to tell because they didn't mention the charge until we checked out. I had 3 cups the first morning, and just 2 the second. It was wonderful. The location for us was perfect. You aren't in the old city - so driving up to the hotel was easy, and there was parking at a reduced rate (just 10 euro a day) about 2 short blocks away.

To get to the old city was a very short walk, and of course once there you have lots of choices of restaurants, tapa's places, and things to see and do. We attended mass at the Cathedral (it is held at noon every day for the pilgrams), and we visited the old monastary across the plaza which we felt was well worth the cost of admission. The wooden choir loft clearly has to be seen to be believed. The same of course can be said of the Cathedral!

I liked that hotel (also called a hostel which means 'budget hotel' in Spanish) so much, I checked to see if they had a companion property in any of our other destinations. Its not elegant - but if you are price sensititive, and want something well located, pleasant, and friendly. This was defintiely the place. Oh - and WIFI was free and powerful.

Room Tip: Try for a room away from the street - they are quieter. We were in 102 - I suspect that 202, 302 and...
