It's pricey, but if you can afford it, it's worth staying in this historic hotel. It's gorgeous, with four courtyards and a chapel you can only see if you are a guest.
Bathrooms are modern. Rooms are not, complete with squeaky floor boards and doors. But they are comfortable, and set the mood of the place.
The more formal dining room downstairs served excellent meals. The more casual restaurant on the side of the building was so-so. Buffet breakfast was very good.
It will certainly be part of your trip to Santiago that you won't forget.
