This is one of the top three Restaurants in Tarragona and has to be a "must visit" for Food Lovers. If you want to experience the best of local Catalan Cuisine then you will not find a better place to dine in. I was lucky enough to go when they were celebrating 30 years in business, so they had a special "degustation" menu for 45Euros. The food was fantastic and the attention to detail outstanding. They also recommended pairing local Priorat wines with the food and informed us that if we were not happy with the wine then they would gladly offer an alternative at no charge. The location is impressive, being in the oldest part of the town and the atmosphere is relaxed and friendly. Really is a very specia lplace to dine!!!

We used to love eating at this restaurant in its old location. But how things have changed. The cooking is not good. My husband had a plate full of artichokes, which the waiter poured olive oil over; there was no lemon, no other sauce . . . His main course was a steak, which was cooked well but accompanied by what can only be described as crinkle cut crisps - they may have been hand made but they were still crisps! I had the lobster and chickpea stew, which unfortunately, was a puree of seafood with chickpeas thrown in and overcooked lobster or langoustine - infact the seafood was so unpleasant that I wrapped it in a napkin and fed to the local cats! Will we be returning - definitely not - a huge, huge disappointment.

I had a business dinner here on a quiet Monday evening and we were a group of 7 having dinner together. the location in the old town is unique, not easy to find but once you are there it is great and looks 'special' when you are inside. we had a mix of various starters ranging from small portions of mushroom soup, octopus, anchovies and marinated artichokes - very good. for main course half the table ordered steak and half the table ordered fish, this came with potatoes and some small portions of vegetable, all excellent including the locally grown red wine. we finished off with a round of gin&tonic chosen from their selection of more than 100 different varieties of gin. the service was good and friendly, the price was reasonable. would definitely come back.

No photo's of dishes but a personal advice at your table. Local cuisine. Delicious. Nice price (14.90€ lunchmenu) of food and wines.

Fine cuisine, beautiful presentation. 18 euros for 3 courses plus 2 lovely amuse-bouches, with a glass of wine. Cooking of the highest standard. The evening menus however are expensive at 35 or 45 euros for what looked like pretty much the same food. Restaurant is tucked away and takes some finding but is worth the effort. The best food we ate on our short break.
