My first word of advice is don't arrive at this hotel on a Sunday! All the shops nearby are closed and the hotel doesn't serve food on Sunday evenings. There was nowhere nearby to eat so our only option to get some dinner was to get the local bus (cost 1.50 euros) to the Rambla in town.
The location was ugly with a Lidl next door and next to a car showroom. Im sure its an ideal location for a business traveller or someone getting a flight somewhere but not for tourists without a car.
The staff were very helpful and had a good command of English which seemed rare when in Spain!
The hotel had a small pool area which was hardly used but also a little neglected.
The taxi from the hotel to the airport cost 25 euros.
I would recommend this hotel but only if you have a car.

If you arrive by car and do not need a downtown location, then this hotel is excellent value. The staff were very friendly, the facilities absolutely excellent.

I had been concerned about some other reviews, but to my dismay discovered that what was said about the location was something of an understatement. If your idea oh holidaying in Sunny Spain is with a view of the local poligono industrial, complete with second hand cars retails and dreadful social housing, this is the place. You ll even get the refinery fumes as part of the bargain, as they indeed are very, very close. Otherwise find something else. Fair rooms, slightly above average, if a little bare and a with concrete-like mattress. Bland breakfast, in an unspiring dining room. You are supposed to get free wi fi if you are in a lucky day. A pity as the place should be nicely decorated, but why on earth did they decide to built it there ?

Yes a bit off the beaten track but a great business hotel to visit out of the conference season. Pool to ourselves, lovely staff and it did wonders for my evening class spanish. Pick up a Bonus Bus ticket (5.50 euros for 10 rides) at Central Mercat in town for excellent No 6 or 54 bus and you are at the top of the Ramblas in 10 minutes. Go mad, cross the road and walk into multi ethnic local community with Market, good local shops and a range of bars. We had a fab 10 euro set menu at Nou Restaurant op Market and lovely Chinese run bar next to it does good if limited tapas.I went with my daughter, 15 years, and we were visiting friends in Salou (horrible) and LAmpolla (very nice). Fed up with british people moaning that the rest of the world doesnt speak english. Support your local FE college and be amazed by how much a little of the language opens all sorts of doors for you.

This is a modern, clean and nicely furnished hotel with spacious rooms and helpful staff. Its amazing value at the rate we got E44 for a twin. The only downer is the location which is in an industrial/business area out of town and on a major road, so its a E10 taxi ride to town and its not got much ambience. Having said that the taxis are cheap enough and there is a bus we took a couple of times which was fine. there is a supermarket just next door which is handy too. As i said this is amazing value, only slightly more than a very basic hostal we stayed in in Reus but this is a 4* (although its probably more like a 3). But to be honest, I probaboly wouldn't stay here again on a holiday, being further out of town and in the industrial area took the shine off the visit as we weren't really in the heart of tarragona, or really anywhere with any ambiance, but its great value if thats what you are looking for.

We stayed there for a night in October. The rooms are large and clean. The staff is polite (the room service was a pleasant surprise). The best thing about the hotel was the price. We paid only EU 41. Also, the parking is free, which is a rarity anywhere in Spain. The only reason the hotel does not deserve more than 3 stars is its location in the outskirts of the city in an ugly industrial looking site amongst a number of car dealerships. However, if you have your own transportation, that should not be a problem. There was a small pool but the weather was not conducive to trying it out. We went there on a Friday and it seems the hotel was deserted as most of the business travelers who seem to frequent it were gone for the week.
Overall, great price and amenities.

we just got back fom five nights at the hotel eurostar tarraco in tarragona, and i have to commend the hotel on its clean ,modern surroundings and pleasant staff. Although the situation of the hotel leaves a lot to be desired. Sandwiched between car show rooms and the local Lidl supermarket(this turned out to be a god send!)we were on the outskirts of town. Taxi's ranged from 10€ to 15€ depending on how many travelling and luggage just to get into the centre of Tarragona. The walk takes approx 45 min up a very busy road with very little footpaths(careful!) the train station is situated on the harbour next to a small but pleasant beach. We had a day trip to Barcelona, which took approx 1 hour to Sants( Barcelona's nearest station to the Nou Camp) It cost 20€ for two return tickets on the regional catalan express, which represented excellent value.
At the hotel, we found that the pool advertised was not really clean enough to swim in, nor readily available for use.I understand that we stayed here out of season but the chance to use those facilities would have been nice.
I would also advise travellers to use local supermarkets to stock up on water, beer and soft drinks as the mini bar is quite expensive. The hotel's buffet breakfast was 12€ each , which was a shock after consuming only special k and toast!
But all in all the actual hotel was very nice, just more focused on the spanish business clientele.
