“Roman Walls and British Ramparts”
Reviewed January 9, 2013

The 2nd Century B.C.E. Roman Walls of Tarragona are worth seeing. The British added ramparts during the War of the Spanish Succession in 1707. The walls and ramparts are well maintained. It is a pleasant stroll along the base of the Roman wall and on the ramparts. There are good views of the surrounding community. Well worth the visit. The cost per person is 3,15€, but buy the 10,55€ pass which allows entries to the Roman Circus, Amphitheatre and other historic sites.

“A walk around the city walls”
Reviewed October 19, 2012

This is more for the photographers and families looking for a stroll than for ordinary tourist looking for excitement. At sunset the views from the walls are not bad at all.

“Between the walls”
Reviewed September 28, 2012

A worthwhile hour or so spent in a quiet and beautiful area surrounded by Roman and Mediaeval antiquities.. With luck tou can have the place to yourself but don't expect crowds.

the experience might be improved a little if there was a separate entrance and exit, but retracing your steps to the beginning does allow you to see slightly different perspectives. Take drinks if it is a warm day, or try the nearby Bar del Portal, just through the arched doorway in the city walls.

“Roman walls”
Reviewed September 20, 2012

This is a wander around part of the perimeter of the old town between the Roman city walls. Its a circular route.

The the inner part is mainly Roman with some large boulder at a lower level, while the outer is more modern some of it a fortification built by the British.
