We booked through travel republic and didn't have the option to choose room type so I asked for seaview. When we checked in they said we hadn't paid for seaview so that was fair enough. Howvever the room we were given was tiny and one of only a few without even a balcony and it was right next to the stairwell. It was so small that you had to move the armchiar to open the wardrobe! It also reeked of smoke as there was nowhere to easily blow the smoke out of a window. So I asked to be moved and after the man in reception went bananas down the phone at someone he secured us a balcony room for our last 4 nights. This room was perfect, nice size with a great shower room and balcony to sit out on. We did try the 14 euro fixed meal and didn't rate it at all, finding the 20 euro menu at Parrot's in town far better value.
The staff at the hotel were brilliant, the towels were alsways changed and the location is the best possible as the road outside is virtually pedestrianised. We will stay again but pay the small extr charge for a balcony just to ensure a decent sized room, it was only 4 euros per night extra.More
