We have been visiting this restaurant for nearly twenty years, the menu has stayed pretty consistent as has the food for all those years, problem is the prices have risen sharply in the last couple.
It has a great location on the seafront on St. Sebastian playa, with views over the beach.
The food is simple but pretty good and the service much the same.
Recommended for it's location but be careful with the bill, it can get very expensive, chose for the daily 'menu' to keep the costs down.

Lovely location overlooking the beach. Tasty Fidua and salads but pricey. Service struggled as the evening progressed. Wine expensive and red was served warm, complaints met with indifference. Wouldn't return.

Genuine fish restaurant. Nothing fancy, just plain genuine. Loved the paella. Friendly service. Beautiful view!

House wine charged at 13·9 euros when it had cost less than 2 euros

Martini blanco charged at 4·70 euros,, cost in supermarket per bottle 8 euros

a beer at 3·30 euros, cost to restaurant 30 cents

Fideua- charged at 16 ·30 euros, cost to make leass than 2 euros

Service good and waiters sympathetic to outrageous invoice

menu del dia served only until 2 pm and price increased form 14 to 16 euros for the bank holiday

We live in `Spain so know prices and value for money. This is awful despite the location

El Tambucho sits in the middle of promenande on the quieter San Sebastian Playa/Port Alegre side of Sitges, with a peerless view of the old town one side, the hill that rises up toward the Balmins beach on the other, and nothing but the open sea ahead. Its tables are clustered under a tidy awning at the front or tucked into the cosy interior, and it all could be from any time from the '20s to last year, much like the classic menu of Spanish, Catalan, and Mediterranean favorites.

The food is solidly wonderful - fresh salads, heavenly mussels, and paellas, fidueas, and great fish. The service is outgoing and friendly, and while not terribly multilingual, everyone is more than willing to make a go in English or pantomime Spanish (the menu, although not always the set menus, include English). The kitchen stays open all day, so you can take advantage of the set lunch option, order a la carte in the late afternoon, or choose from set menu or a la carte for dinner.

The daily menu is an excellent value, and other choices are more expensive. As with most of Sitges's waterfront restaurants, you are definitely paying a premium for the view. With everything else at El Tambucho being such good value, though, you are more than getting your money's worth. I can't imagine a better way to while away a long Spanish afternoon than by sitting over a pitcher of sangria and whatever excellent choice the friendly hostess suggests, topped off with a delicious creme catalan...
