“Amazing, Perfect!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 30, 2013

Well to preface my review, we planned our trip 4 months earlier and had great communication with Rob and Antonio. We were able to plan it all out and then make a change at the last minute no problem. They always responded to our emails quickly and we never felt worried about our tour. Well, the day we leave our flights are delayed and we were possibly going to arrive a day later than we should have because of airline issues and we emailed Rob and Antonio about the situation and they assured us that they would do whatever they could to accommodate any changes and if needed cancel with no charge. Luckily we did get to Spain in time to make our tour the next day. When we arrived at our hotel we had a bottle of wine and letter from them saying they hoped our travel would get better and to relax that evening as the next day was our tour and they had it under control. Meanwhile our luggage was lost and we did not receive it for 4 days so during our tour the next day they made phone calls and got phone numbers and baggage numbers for us while we broke off on our own on Montserrat and toured the monastery. They were very helpful going out of their way to help us locate our baggage. This was a huge weight off our shoulders and we were very grateful for this help. We then went to the winery for our tour there. The winery was a great choice and location and the wines were great. The day was wonderful and perfectly planned out. If you are wanting a more personal experience I would highly recommend them or even if you have a large group and need a guide. They were great. They also recommended several restaurants for us to try in Sitges and those were also amazing! By far one of our top 5 experiences in all of our travels and cannot wait to use them again on our next trip!

“Montserrat Tour”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 27, 2013 via mobile

I did not know what to expect as I was planning a surprise tour. Nevertheless I got a good surprise myself :)

From the booking stage Antonio was very helpful and guided me through. Followed up by Rob who picked us up at the hotel.

Overall, it was a great service from Rob as he was very courteous and talkative.

He did give some privacy time after the boys choir tour and we were dropped at the point of destination in the end. Everything was tailored!

“Hen Weekend In Barcelona”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 7, 2013

We came to Barcelona last month on my nieces hen party, as part of the trip I wanted to organise a wine tour for the group but all the wine tours were not available that time of year. I contacted Open Guide and they put together a bespoke day for us. Rob collected us from Barcelona and was the perfect guide, very warm and friendly - all the girls just loved him. His attention to detail was outstanding - anything I hadn't thought of Rob had and the day was seamless thanks to him. Anyone visiting Barcelona should get in touch with these guys - they made our trip!!

“Wonderful vacation in Sitges (Barcelona)”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 10, 2013

Wonderful vacation in Sitges (Barcelona), all thanks to a great itinerary prepared by Rob and Antonio of Open Guide Tours.
We hired their services for a whole week. We started with a tour of Barcelona, where we visited the famous Sagrada Familia, a spectacular experience, absolutely unlike anything we had ever seen in terms of architecture. We followed this visit on the same day to another church, Santa Maria del Mar, also very beautiful. After both visits, our guide Rob, led us to a small Vasc Tabern to appreciate the "tapas" - Spanish traditional appetizers, accompanied by an excellent wine.
During the week, we visited the famous Camp Nou Stadium, home of FC Barcelona. We also visited the Olympic Stadium. The latter, in addition to referring the unforgettable story of the 1992 Olympics, offered us breathtaking views of the city.
Another amazing place and certainly a “must-see” one, was the Monastery of Our Lady of Montserrat: one of the most beautiful landscapes we've had the opportunity to see. After visiting the monastery, we had the opportunity to watch the Boys Choir, an emotional experience.
Antonio and Rob, included in our itinerary a visit to the Salvador Dali Museum in Figueras. A visit to this museum is a new service their company offers, and one which we fully recommend if the lenght of your holidays allows you too, because it is a very different museum and very irreverent, just as was the artist himself.
Also a “must” is a visit to one of the many wineries in the Penedes region. After presenting us with several options, we opted for a visit to the winery Miguel Torres, besides learining the entire process of wine production, we were given the opportunity to taste some of their wonderful products. On the same day in the afternoon, Rob drove us down to the city of Tarragona. Amazing city that preserves the heritage of its Roman history.
Finally, since we were staying at a hotel in Sitges, we had the opportunity to visit the main points of interest of this small coastal village. We strolled along its beautiful beaches and enjoyed some good food and “sangrias”.
Excellent vacation organized by these two young entrepreneurs, who squandered kindness, taking care of all the details with care and professionalism so that we returned to Brazil satisfied and wanting to return soon.

“Unforgeteable experience”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 5, 2013

My partner and I contacted Open Guide Tours after deciding to spend few days in Sitges on holidays. From the start, they seemed very professional. Antonio explained to us the tours they had available during the festive season and also what each tour entailed. We opted for the Dalí Experience on the first day and their Combined Tour (Montserrat monastery + Vineyard visit/tasting) on the second. We were picked up from our hotel exactly on the time agreed and driven to Figueres, city where the Dalí Museum is located. During the drive, Antonio kept us relaxed and entertained by maintaining an interesting conversation in which we both learned some differences about the culture and local customs. Between Antonio, his business partner and a girl employee whom works for them, they speak 7 languages, so nothing is “lost in translation”! When we arrived at the Dali Museum, Antonio got us the entrance tickets and then took us to the main entrance where we parted to start our visit. We were “wowed” by the extraordinary surroundings and works on display. After visiting the museum for a couple of hours, Antonio took us for lunch, which was previously arranged, at a nearby restaurant where the staff were very accommodationg, attentive and polite. After lunch, we visited the Jewel’s Exhibition, where again we were utterly astounded by the grandiose work Dali created! On our second day, we were met by Marit, a lovely Dutch girl, whom works for Open Guide. Marit, drove us to Montserrat. The views from the top of the mountain were just awesome. Marit showed us the main cities and then allowed us some private time to explore the area. We even managed to see the Boys Choir, which was amazing! After that, Marit took us to a visit at a vineyard, where we learned some aspects of cava making. Obviously, tasting took place at the end of our visit. Overall, the service we received from Open Guide was faultless. We felt totally at ease with them and did not feel we were customers at all. Although, we were treated with the ultimate respect. We totally and undoubtedly recommed the services of Open Guide and most surely will be using them again when we next visit Barcelona.
