We were booked at The Santa Maria, however, when we booked in we were taken to the top floor of La Pinta, one of their sister hotels. The nicest thing about the room was the rooftop semi-private patio. It had a great view and if you didn't feel like going to one of the fantastic beaches (and one great naked beach) you could sunbathe nude if you wished. The bed was two twin beds pushed together. They were made up separately and when we said we had asked for one bed in our booking, they put a cover on them and made them up together. They were hard and springy and not very comfortable. Our room had ants that we had to spray for and the hotel maid sprayed a couple of days again thereafter. We had a little yappy dog next to us and one below. If we hadn't, at the hotel's insistence, piad in advance, we would have most certainly looked for other accommodations. Our friends were staying La Santa Maria and their room had a tiny patio, but was big, with high ceilings and very romantic. Apparently the joining of two twin beds is normal there. We will not be staying here again.
