This hotel is really quite special. We booked a two bedroom apartment and it didn't disappoint. Spacious, warm, fully equipped, spotless and all this in a beautiful old building in the centre of the old town. The staff were super friendly and helpful. The location was wonderful. The Church bells we found charming and unique. They didnt disturb us. For sure you can see Girona's sights in a day but I really recommend this small city for a relaxing few days away with friends. . We three ambled through the charming alleyways, sat around in street cafes, enjoying the sunshine and the charm of the place. We ate average, good and great food and highly recommend El Didal which is located just around the corner from the hotel. They serve the best tapas I have ever eaten. Each dish is prepared to order ...outstanding.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Girona and the Hotel Historic for your next trip !

Lovely Hotel at the top of Girona. Next to all the sights and bars. Plenty of small cobbled streets to get lost in, but also plenty of bars and restaurants to relax in. Everything you need in Hotel--couldn't fault it--would definitely return.

Room Tip: We didn't realise when we booked, but we were given an apartment with 2 bedrooms and a kitchen...

Lovely hotel in the old town, just next to the beautiful cathederal (and it's bells!)

The room was charming with stone walls and tasteful furnishings. A bath was a big plus after a day out sight seeing.

Would highly recommend Girona for a weekend break :-)

My lady and I spent one night here and wish it could have been a week...located in the Jewish quarter, with a Cathedral to the left of it and a Castle and the Arab Baths behind it the romantic aspect of it was incredible...The innkeeper who check us in was this sweet little lady who spoke very little English..What we did get from her as she gently caressed the stone wall in the lobby was that it has been in her family for 900 years. There was a light rain that evening and the cobble stone streets were glistening in the lamplight....the rooms were a mixture of ancient architecture and modern conveniences, and the staff was very helpful despite the language barrier. In other words if you want to send a VERY romantic week or weekend with that special person in your life then this is the perfect place to stay.the only reason I dont give it more stars is it only goes up to 5 ;-)

Room Tip: We stayed in the Flies room, the view was great, the bed comfortable...the only thing I would have...

Great hotel with very friendly staff, the room was first class, however, the church bell are absolutely unbelievable as a wake up call, I defy anyone to sleep through them. The location is great as a tourist as you step straight out into the old town, with cobbled street and ancient lanes. but be prepared to do a lot of walking as transport is limited.
