This part of Girona is becoming more popular. A small modern square within 5 mins of the old town and cathedral, it is flanked by 2 bars, both serving food, and a pizza restaurant.
As a result the atmosphere when sat on the terraces to each of these is very vibrant with a good mix of locals and tourists. No traffic and clearly has a student/young person feel looking at the apartments above.
That said, the enclosed area seems to make it very popular early doors for parents with kids.
Context is one of the bars and probably has the best terrace, with a good selection of tables and comfortable chairs.
The staff are attentive and speak English, drinks are well priced for the location and service is quick.
I have not eaten here and, based on the fairly restricted menu, would suggest it as a drinking place rather than for food but the plates delivered do seem like pretty good, home cooking.
Interestingly, it actually doubles up as a bookshop, so if eating at a table (inside) surrounded by various books is your idea of heaven this place was designed for you!
Personally, I will stick to the terrace and a few drinks with friends in a vibrant but safe atmosphere.
