Located in old quarter of Girona, it offers original tapas, varied salads, cheese&cold sausage assortments as well as more elaborated dishes with first-quality products. Large wine, beer and liqueur selection, good cocktails. Good music and live shows. Moreover, a most personal book selection.

“Lovely terrace location in the old town”
Reviewed July 30, 2013 via mobile

This part of Girona is becoming more popular. A small modern square within 5 mins of the old town and cathedral, it is flanked by 2 bars, both serving food, and a pizza restaurant.
As a result the atmosphere when sat on the terraces to each of these is very vibrant with a good mix of locals and tourists. No traffic and clearly has a student/young person feel looking at the apartments above.
That said, the enclosed area seems to make it very popular early doors for parents with kids.
Context is one of the bars and probably has the best terrace, with a good selection of tables and comfortable chairs.
The staff are attentive and speak English, drinks are well priced for the location and service is quick.
I have not eaten here and, based on the fairly restricted menu, would suggest it as a drinking place rather than for food but the plates delivered do seem like pretty good, home cooking.
Interestingly, it actually doubles up as a bookshop, so if eating at a table (inside) surrounded by various books is your idea of heaven this place was designed for you!
Personally, I will stick to the terrace and a few drinks with friends in a vibrant but safe atmosphere.

“Best spot during flower festival”
Reviewed May 14, 2013

I stopped here with a friend for a drink on my first visit to Girona (during the flower festival) and we ended up staying until after it closed with the new Catalan friends we had made at this spunky little place. The seating is in a beautiful square in the old city, a perfect place to watch the comings and goings of town with friends. The owners and waiters were so friendly and open to us foreigners, and spoke English very well. We ended up helping close up the place and they paid for a drink for each of us!

“Love the terrace!”
Reviewed March 4, 2013

Great little bar, whcih is cafe on one side and bookstore on the other side. It's on a sunny, quiet square left of the Cathedral. We had a beer in the sunshine, enjoying some peace and quiet after a long day. Bathrooms very clean. We didn't actually eat there, but the spaghetti looked really good!
