This is truly a hidden gem on the Square of Wine and number seven absolutely desevers a a spot here.
Its not mentioned I think, but this restaurant is run by the the man awarded the best sommelier in 2007! The food is excellent, but the portions are a little small- even for a fancy-style restaurant. The menu del dia is of great value, I think it is around 17 eur for lunch and around 25 (but Im not sure) for the dinner option. Ask the waiter for wine tips- they are very knowledgeable and gave us great wines. Another thing that is not over-communicated (as these things often are) is that all the wines and food served in this restaurant is organic and hand picked for the menu.
You can reseve a table the day before or just show up and wait for a table (Its worked for me every time) and enjoy a night of good food and wine among the locals.

This place has nice service and a warm ambiance. The food is quite good, but the portion sizes for the prices are a bit skimpy.

Tucked away under the arches, we dropped in here as there seemed a lot of happy locals enjoying the food and drink. After a couple of hours we could tell why. We asked for a selection of Tapas, chosen by them, and they brought out a procession of lovely tastes and explained each well. Great food, great service, lovely ambience. Winner

This is a welcome addition to the bars in Girona, located under the arches in the relatively grand Plaza del Vi, it is an ideal spot for drinks with 5-6 tables outside looking over the plaza, an area that, in the evening, is getting more popular due to the number of bars located in a row under these arches. Offers nice shade in the summer and, because it is at the end, can receive a welcome breeze. Inside furniture is relaxed but classy - modern "gastro bar" feel (I say that as a good thing not a criticism). The wines here are particularly good and we have drunk here much more often than eaten but the tapas on offer are very good and a little different to the norm but without trying too hard. In fact, so different that, despite living here and recognising most catalan dishes, even we struggle to know what is on offer sometimes! Don't worry, help and translation of the blackboard menu is available. Only drawback is that it is a touch more expensive than many Girona bars and probably hasn't enough of a restaurant feel to quite justify the prices but depends on your budget. I suggest you visit, share a bottle of wine, and, if you like the atmosphere, try a couple of tapas. Won't break the bank and I doubt you will be disappointed.

Surprising tapas-dishes (e.g. puree of codfish with honey and pine nuts, or roast beef on toast with figs) and varieties of cheese (catalan and French) in combination with wine from the region - very tasty. The place was full of locals on a Thursday night and the menu available in catalan only. Service was friendly. Located on a pittoresque square in Girona's old town. A great find!
