This is a lovely park, with two parts, tall imposing trees providing shade, and a well maintained garden with plenty of benches and flowered beds, with a cage homing peacocks and a fountain with fish. Lovely shaded place and great for a picnic. There is also a free car park by the river so we parked here, picnicked and then walked into town.
It was quiet when we were here, just families milling about enjoying the serenity.
(Our landlady told us not to come here at night though which sounds ominous!)
