Looking at its appearance, it seems as if Onyar River is struggling to flow through the charming town of Girona, taken over and probably intimidated by the colourful blocks of flats that seem to have their foundation deep in the river. In some parts, the river looks deceivingly deep because of the buildings reflecting in the water, but the river doesn't seem to have much water in it. One can see the water vegetation surfacing the water, which adds more colour to the scenery and blends perfectly with the colours of the buildings. The bridges on the river aren't spectacular either, they are practical but not pretty, with the exception of one bridge that seems to stand out from all the others, called Pont de Pedra (Bridge of Stone). When I went to Girona in May for the flower festival, there were some good quality artisan stalls on one side of the bridge.
